@profil84: so I counted 17 individual developers for Microsoft vs 23 for Sony. However that's before factoring the Zenimax acquisition, which actually adds another 8 to Microsoft. Which means Microsoft now owns more developers than Sony do, without factoring in the Activision Blizzard buyout.
Nintendo actually doesn't even do a lot of acquisitions, so their number is actually way less than Microsoft.
@profil84: there's a difference between Sony and nintendo buying individual development studios for exclusives and Microsoft buying out two massive publishers in order to make every development studio under their umbrella exclusives, and then making really obvious and bad lies about how that's not what they're doing
