A pause..........drum roll, please.......and lift the curtains to reveal....

The winner for Most Surprisingly Good Movie, of course.

And that winner is:

Runner-up:

Believe it or not, I actually criticized Batman more than FF. And I wish I didn't.

Well, now that that's ettled, let's get on to the next category, that being:

Most Disappointing Movie:

Nominees are:

God, I've been anticipating this movie for months and months, only to find out that it was nothing at all what I had wanted out of this film.

I too, have been waiting for this movie for months as well. It was a good movie overall, but I was left with little of what it was supposed to deliver.

Yes, I was hiding it all along. I absolutely loved this film, but I had a feeling that it could've been so much better with all that time it used.

Considering it's Steven Spielberg, I was pretty stoked to see what WotW had in store. Apparently, not much.

Well, the nominees for the Most Disappointing Movie category have been chosen.

Which one let you down the most? Comment on your thoughts, please!

GB and GN.

Marriane, get the shotty! Them bugs are here again!

........<_<.......>_>...........

Okay, I have thought this through and through for the winnerof Best Design. And after awhile, I have come to a conclusion.

The winner is:

Runner-up:

Alright, I am a sucker for the dark, creepy stuff. But I am a TOTAL sucker for the weird, off-the-wall crazy stuff. Tim Burton's strange world of Wonka was silly enough to convince me that Charlie was the winner.

And now, onto the bigger fish.

Here are the nominees for:

Most Surprisingly Good Film

After it's release, it was getting dismal review from top critics. And to be frank, I don't know why.

................I dont know why this is here. It wasn't all that great, but it was better than I had recently thought.....and you all know how THAT turned out....

After watching the trailer, and seeing the movies before it, I wasn't too hyped up for this "restart". But after coming out of the theater, it was definetly the best Batman yet.

Not too keen on true stories and heart-warming films, but during those boxing matches, I actually threw a couple punches at the screen without even knowing it.

We all know how children's movies end, and I wasn't too stoked to see this. But after awhile, I was actually quite fond of it.

Well, there they are. The ones that surprised me the most, but only one will come out the winner. Who will it be?

Please comment on your thoughts!

Next up: The nominees for Most Disappointing Film.

GB and GN.

And so the battle ensues.......

Well, if you will please excuse the mess from the LAST entry, I will now annouce the winner for:

Best Sound

Followed closely by:

I was about to choose Charlie, but the again, why not settle on something that sounds more, "realistic"? King Kong sounded better then any other movie I've seen this year (with the exception of Star Wars of course).

Now, with THAT out of the way, I will now announce the nominees for Best Design:

Following the trend of his many films, Tim Burton once again creates a fantastic world that you couldn't possibly imagine.

King Kong succesfully captures the feel and look of the 30's, and looking at a beautiful but dangerous jungle is always a pleasure to watch.

Batman Begins returns to the Dark Knights roots, making it gritty, morbid, and horrifying as the graphic novels portrayed him.

You would think that a remake would change the classic look and feel that made the original famous. And yet, WotW keeps that tripod design intact, as well as the apocalyptic setting after the attack.

Well, there they are. The chosen ones for Best Design.

Who do you think will win this award? Please commet on your thoughts!

Next up, the nominees for Most Surprisingly Good Movie.

GB and GN.

Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore......

Yes, the awards are still going strong thanks to your support. Remember, the awards wouldn't be possible without your help, so thanks to all.

Just before I annouce the winner, I have something else to report:

I have recently rented The Warriors, and I have written a review for it. It's a damn good game.

Anyway, back to the ceremony!

Now you all saw the nominees for Worst Use of Special Effects, and I thought hard on picking the winner. But after a little bit of thinking, The obvious winner was:

And the unfortunate runner-up:

Now I was about to pick Sin City because of the INSANE overuse of CGI. But I almost forgot how heart-wrenchingly painful the SE were in Dominion. Those sequences were so bad.........it was jut too bad. That's all I can say.

Well, that category is finished. Now let's move on to the next!

Here are the nominees for:

Best Sound.

Featuring some of the best musical scores I have ever listened to, and not to mention everything else, King Kong delivers in spades.

I was surprised at how well they remade the oompa-loompa songs. They just sound fantastic, as does everything else as well.

From the awesome sound of gunfire, to the outstanding soundtrack, Jarhead brings to the table a new sort of sound quality.

Let me say this: Never before have I been so frightened by the sound of an alien siren.

I don't understand how anybody could NOT like the soothing but creepy score for this film.

Well, the nominees have been chosen. Which one do you think will win the award for Best sound?

Please comment on thoughts and opinions!

NOTE: I didn't put Episode III in this category. Why? It would already win by default.

Well, I will annouce the winner for Best sound tomorrow, but there won't be a "dubious" award for this category. Don't ask why.

Next up, the nominees for Best Design.

Swimming through veins....

GB and GN.

Ladies And Gents, I present to you, the Winner!

In my last entry, you saw the nominees for Best Use of Special Effects.

Well, after choosing two options, it took me awhile to figure out the winner, seeing as both films looked absolutely stunning in their own right. I was about to settle for a tie, but then I knew the winner of this award clearly belonged to:

And the runner-up that lost by a HAIR:

Now both of these films looked beautiful. I had one HELL of a time choosing the winner. But after some thought, Star Wars was the clear winner, what with it's beautiful landscapes, spectacular battles, and insanely detailed characters.

Now, as I promised, here is the category for:

Worst use of Special Effects.

And the nominees are:

It looks so TERRIBLY bad, it looks as though they team responsible forgot to actually finish what they started.

Yes, I know. I must be crazy to put the winner in a category such as this. Truth is, there can be TOO MUCH use of CGI, especially in some ludicris moments.

It just looks.......bad. There is NO good CGI that you can find in this film.....at all.

What? CGI oompa-loompass? MADNESS!!!......Oh, and they could've trained those squirrels.......>_>....

No, this is not a typo. Although everything looked absolutely amazing, they used CGI for scenes they could've done with REAL sets.

Well, there you have it. The nominees for the Worst Use of Special Effects award! Which poor bastard will take home the trophy? And what did you think of my choices?

Next up, the winner, and the nominees for the Best Sound award.

She killed the sheep in me.....

GB and GN.

The Verdict, The Awards, and a Landmark Achievment......

First off, I would like to show you this:

10,000 posts!!

FINALLY!!!

WHEEEEEE!!!

*Ahem*.......

Anyway, before I get to my much anticipated awards show, I have the verdict of King Kong:

The Verdict.

Much better than I had actually predicted. See it now, you must.

Now, about the Awards:

I will update it whenever possible, probably daily.

I will announce the nominations in one entry, and announce the winner in the next. After I annouce the winner, I will annouce the nominations for another category, and so on.

After I announce the winner/finalists, you may then if you wish, comment on my choices, or guess which one will bring home the award.

After a certain category is announced, and the winner is chosen, there will also be a "Dubious" award for that same category. I will list those nominations, and after the winner is chosen....well, you get the picture.

I hope you will enjoy this show, as I have been planning this for months. Let's get started, shall we?

SBAC

Short for:

Sauvignon Black's Award Ceremony

We will start off with the nominations for:

Best Use of Special Effects:

The use of CGI in Constantine is so visually amazing, even Hell looks kick-ass.

It's almost amazing how far technology has come. Everything looks absolutely stunning in this epic, that you'll occasionaly wonder if that's real ape hair.

All I can say about WotW is that i've never marveled at how beautiful thngs look when it turns to utter chaos.

How else are you gonna create epic battles, massive planets, awesome characters, and sweet environments? Lego's?..........Actually, that doesn't sound too bad.....

This isn't a movie. It's a beautiful work of art, a work of a genius. I can't express how wonderful it looks to my eyes.

Well, there you have it folks. The nominations for Best Use of Special Effects.

Who do you think will take the trophy? Place your bets ladies and gents.

This is only the beginning.

GB and GN.

Unmarked helicopters, hovering.......the Lord is coming soon..........

They said it was a weather balloon......

First off, I laugh at Microsoft's pitiful attempt to win over Japan.

When will they ever learn? Japanese consumers want japanese products, NOT american products. Even if we got developers like Square Enix on board, we still wouldn't do as well, seeing as fans of Final Fantasy wouldn't want to play their favorite RPG on a 360......not to mention that Square Enix would lose money AND their fanbase.....

Sell the consoles to people who actually give a *** damn about them. If they didn't waste time trying to attempt this ludicris idea, we wouldn't have all of these damn shortages......

Anyway, moving on:

In the news today, I found out about this, which is great. I don't understand why people actually protested against the penalty, but it seems obvious that they were blinded by false truths.

And then there's:

Yes, after I watch this epic, the Awards will begin. You heard right, my very own awards show that you've all been anticipating.......hopefully. I trust you all will attened this big event?

Also, there is still hope for those wishing to get an Xbox 360 this December 18th. If this is correct, you'll definetly see me at a Best Buy on the 17th.

I just hope you don't have to pre-order it to recieve it.

Well, that's all from me today. Will be back to decide the fate of a giant monkey.

I gotta slip it up until the rust is gone......

GB and GN.

Everytime I look in your eyes, everytime i'm watching you die..........

All the thoughts I see in you.......

Well, let's get down to buisness. First off:

8/10

Pretty much the only embarrasing part was being stuck in a small room full of kids. >_>

Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it, altough I preferred to watch Syriana.......

In other news, I have rented Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie.............what the **** kind of name is that? And I thought Riddick had a long name.

Anyway, I actually enjoyed playing it, and I do question why, since I didn't like the 360 demo.......*ahem*, I have also written a review for it. You know what to do........right?........Right?

Up next:

If any of you are seeing Brokeback Mountain.......meh, I won't.

To start off at a funny story, I was browsing through Blockbuster, picking up a copy of Pete--KING KONG, and I FINALLY found the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So I got that, went home, put it in, and I noticed something odd about it.......mainly because on the label it said 2003.....some bastard swichted copies! THE FIEND!!

Maybe God has somewhat of a grude against me seeing the original......now it MUST BE WORTH WATCHING!!!

Well, until then, I must be off.

Oh noes! It's teh Kongzorz! Runs away!11!!1!

GB and GN.

Hmm, let's see.......saving a patch of land, or uncovering something terrible?

Doo dee doo.

Well, boys and gals, the general has decided to see some picture shows this weekend. I will have the choice of seeing these 2 movies. The fun part, is that YOU decide this time. Sounds pretty fun, doesn't it? Of course it does.

So what'll it be?

Syriana?

or

Narnia?

And while you're all choosing the fate of my money, I will be listening to my 4th album this week:

It's better than their last album, but Issues and Life is Peachy is better.

Now I just need to get Frances the Mute.....

Anyway, I haven't had time to play on my new DS, work around the house and keeping the dog company is holding me down......I guess the 360 will have to wait a bit longer.

And I am still trying to find a job that suits me. I tried calling EBgames, no help needed. Theaters? I'll try that. I just don't want to work as a bagboy at D and W.......

And I didn't get my new XBL headset yet, so if you want to invite me, you'll have to text message me. Oh well, at least you won't hear me yell at a camping sniper that plugs me everytime....>_>.....

The voting will end tomorrow, so choose wisely (probably won't). >_>

Hey you, hey you, this won't hurt a bit......

GB and GN.

I have something to confess: I have officialy betrayed, and failed you all......

I never thought I would do something like this. I never thought ONCE in my life........

I assume you all remember my little feud with the PSP and the DS, saying that I would never TOUCH either of them.

Well, I lied. I have been tempted by the Dark side to purchase the one thing that could've destroyed me forever.

Yes, I bought, the:

Along with these games:

God, what have I done? I have given in to lust and greed, given into the one thing that I once despised.......I have failed you all. For that, I am sorry.

The further tempation was the little journal entry by duxup, who showed that the DS actually brought more to the table than I would've thought.

I am sorry for all of this. I have lied, I have fallen into temptation, and finally, I have betrayed you all. Let this entry be a little reminder of my fall.

I can only say this: DAMN you Nintendo. Damn you for making such an addicting handheld. Damn you for making your games so incredibly fun. And damn you for seducing me to the Dark Side.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must get back to Meteos.

Take the veil cerpin taxt.

GB and GN.
