Blah, my ps3 yellow lighted and now I have to send it in. I read the steps and they said if your service # is incorrect, they will ship the ps3 back unchanged. So I looked at my service # and its one extra digit more then the servic # boxes on the pink page. Should I draw an extra box or something? I'm really paranoid with my ps3 =(

I took my ps3 controller apart when it stopped working and you could tell i took it apart. Sony still replaced it

Did they charge you to replace the remote? how much if they did?

The slim looks blah. I won't feel good with it for some reason, maybe because the 60 gig has better features and is the original? Idk

Hmmm I was wondering, does Sony go through your hard drive to see what you have on it? I have a lot of pics/videos on it. Also my friends took a flash drive and imported videos from it on to the ps3, some which might have been illegal. This is why I'm scared if i send it back in i might get fined =(

KamuiFei your not alone man. I just downloaded the ps3 3.0 system update the day it was released. 2-3 days later, I on my ps3, 2 minutes later the YLOD! I felt a tear drop. The worst part is I just got the Batman game, fml. lol I really do think its the update but thats just me.

Guys, is it worth 160 to send back or should I go crazy and follow those youtube vids on and try to repair it on my own?

Hey I had my ps3 for about 2 years now, pretty much bought it around its release date, the 60 gig. I just downloaded the system update 3.0 and two days later my ps3 gets a ylod? I went on some youtube forums and I saw people saying something about the ylod relatin to the update?? Can this be true?

also, is there a way that doesn't require to much tech work to fix the ps3?
