well it depends, if you're talking about Halo: Combat Evolved, then it got the rating it deserved. But Halo 2, the fact that the MP is amazing and at the same time the SP is terrible short and lacks any sort of serious story movement, brought the rating down.. or should have. Halo 2 IS overrated to a certain extent. Still an incredible game nonetheless.
Yes, the elite IS much more than your standard xbox 360 console, however, the same price and sometimes cheaper than the premium bundle. It also comes with a 120 gb hard drive, which only 40% of it would probably be used up unless you REALLY use it up with media and what not. Regardless, the elite would be a better choice because of its post-OG Xbox release, therefore, there are less glitches and kinks in it. So far, I have not come across some one that has gotten the RoD (ring of death; not rogers on demmand), with the Elite.
So yeah the Elite would be the better deal in the long run.
This is really strange, I've always heard about strange countdowns or just other weird computing anomallies when it comes to these big hit releases. It's almost erie.
I don't really know what the whole hype was about with this game. I rented it (good thing) and the single player was fun but got boring way too quickly. The MP wasn't even that great, it was all too repetitive.
Its a toss up between Oblivion and Mass Effect. But its too bad that they're not releasing Mass Effect with any multiplayer - imagine the possibilities
