[QUOTE="bradleybhoy"]I was planning on looking up most of the albums in this thread but I check some of the links and I realised this type of Hip-Hop, the production and vocals, just doesn't appeal to me. Production wise it just seems too artificial and formulaic and as for vocals, most of them sound like Too $hort to me. I dug a couple of the E-40 and Spice 1 tracks but that was about it.Orlando_Magic
You're missing out on some great stuff...
These next few albums might be more up your alley. Aceyalone is one of the most unique MC's on the west coast and one of my favorite of all-time. His wordplay is crazy and he's very intelligent. Prior to going solo he was apart of the group FreestyIe Fellowship who were very innovative with their flow and their whole sing song styIe pretty much birthed Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. "Mary" from Innercity Griots prolly is the best example of this influence but lucky for you, that song isn't up on youtube. I also threw in the Coup's Genocide & Juice as well. The Coup are different from most other political hip-hop because they are so damn funky ;)
