Heavy Rain was a great game but it was far from being innovative. The whole game was one big trial and error quick time event with a story thats been told 1000 times in movies, books and TV shows. Just because it really hasn't been done a lot in games doesn't mean it's innovative. Just because something is innovative doesn't mean it's good (the segway for example).
"Consoles are going to die if they don't change". I guess people just say crazy things from time to time. And really, Codemasters isn't exactly at the forefront of gaming these days either.
Because gamers can be punished. If the people from Fruit of the Loom could make you pay for second hand underwear they would. Though, if you're buying used underwear I think you have bigger concerns than that.
@Vozlov They do update the reviews that require updates, they put a note at the top of the review. But they aren't going to rewrite entire reviews based on simple patches, it just doesn't make sense. And besides, if they did rewrite a review for a patch, they'd have to do it for every single game, every time a patch is released.
@RealFabioSooner "It is insulting to Bill Budge himself to compare his mild form of plagiarism to spreading industrial secrets illegally, like Hotz did." You don't get to feel insulted on the behalf of other people. And how is there a "mild" form of plagiarism? Theft is theft isn't it? All Hotz really did was hand everyone the burglary tools, they had to use them. All Sony is doing is sending a very loud, very obnoxious message, 'Mod our console and we're coming after you.'.
