@sixerjones Not likely, Microsoft is a really big corporation and I'm positive that they can take a hit and it won't hurt them as much.

it's only a matter of; will people buy it or not. if the sales are poor it will get updated and change their policy, if they sell well, we're fucked.

I have both PS# and X360, but I'm planning on getting a PS4 only next gen.

@Plutomeus @Hilux- If it wasn't for consumers your pc would have games for you to play. consumers consume what developers develop. no consumers then all of the game developers would switch to being IT guys for your local phone company and you would end up not having anything to do with your super doper pc.

PS4 with the announced setting is already outdated, if you want to think about it in that way, I can spend whatever amount of money and build a much much better pc than the PS4 and the ps4 is not released. so your point is invalid.

the buying power that moves the gaming industy doesn't care about "outdated" ps3 was outdated before it came out, same for ps2 and I'm sure the same goes for xbox360.

but it's not about outdated, it's about what the consumers want, for your "outdated" theory to workout, it would take years with a massive public campaing telling people that you don't need consules to play games, you can play your game much much cheaper if you buy a good pc.

buth the people don't care about pcs, most people connect the gaming experince with the ps or xbox or wii and so they will always buy consels rather than pc
