Quite honestly, I'm getting tired of games that reward you for exploring yet take the exploring factor out the game. I'm sure many games are guilty of this but recently I've been playing The Order 1886 and for its beautiful environment, the game tends to limit you or refrain you from exploration. One particular moment was when you had to follow Marquis I believe. He kept running and going through windows very fast having you tail him to the next destination. I decided to re-spawn and do the run again where I noticed a set of stairs on the left hand side that he completely avoids. I went down those stairs and there was a chest containing an audio tape, which is a collectible in this game.

Had I continued following him, I would of never given those stairs any mind; not achieve Platinum. Grinds my gears every time!

What annoys you guys most SW?

I'm on FiOs but the router is so far from me so I only get 1.9mbs download and about 800 up. I havn't seen any lag in COD, GTA V, NBA 2k or Destiny online however when playing Rocket League I do experience connection issues. As some have said, I feel certain games work better online at low speeds than others.

@bunchanumbers: I'm a console player but always had the idea of getting a gaming PC rig, my question is, do PC's last as long as a console's cycle last before having to upgrade it?

just to inform, I am a parent of two young girls. None of which care for video games. Had I started them on any it would of possibly been Little Big Planet.

I'm big on artistic views. Me having a kid that wanted to explore that side would appreciate Fallout or anything similar. I know kids around my area that are hardcore COD players at the age of 6-7. Some argue that BB might be a little extreme but I feel you get a couple different connections with that game. Game design, soundtrack, horror and emo setting plus the skill of remembering different approaches towards enemies. I feel you get more out of that than you do with a generic shooter, from an artistic appreciation perspective.

@davillain-: I agree, starting on a Nintendo platform is a good start point. I was just leaning more towards game mechanics and environment appreciation. To give them that wow factor head on.

But I definitely agree with having a Nintendo system at around 5-7 years age.

@khoofia_pika:

C'mon guys lol you know what I mean. There's a certain age a gaming parent finds it okay to start introducing their child to games.

Hey, Mario seemed real disruptive to his environment and parents choose him at times lol.

... be the first game you introduce your gaming child to, knowing this would be their first impression of video games and can have an impact in how they view the gaming world in their future?

As for me, the first game my dad made me play was Snake's Revenge on NES. Hence the reason I'm such a MGS fan.

Personally had I had a child now that wanted to get introduced to gaming, I'll have them start on Bloodborne or an open world game like Fallout 4 (minus the bugs of course).

What would your game or console of choice be?

Just checked my list and it's rather interesting...

On PS4:

Knack

Little Big Planet 3

Wolfenstein New Order

Bloodborne

On Xbox One:

Telltale Games The Walking Dead:Season 2

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

GTA V

Surprised these titles are still in rotation after the release of big games like Fallout 4, Halo 5 and Tomb Raider.

I'm currently playing Destiny The Taken King on PS4 btw.
