There need to be better integrated GPUs, I mean most new computers have decent RAM and CPUs so just a little extra effort on manufacturers and your average computer owner could play quite a few new games on the market increasing demand for quite a few games. Face it, most people don't have the time or want to put in the effort to build their own computer like most of us do.Rotinaj32
Your average computer user doesn't care about playing "normal" games on the PC. This is the point. PC gaming has always been a niche market anyway, and now it's an even smaller niche market. The generation (mine) who grew up playing PC games instead of console games have either quit gaming due to real life, or moved to games that require less time and disposable income (ie consoles). PC Gaming isn't dead per say, it's just no longer the platform to develop for to make money which, after all, is the point. The majority of people who still play games on the PC play dinky little casual web-based games, which is why we're starting to see PC development move towards web-based software. Most people, believe it or not, don't really care about $200 GPUs that can give them 70 fps in 4xFSAA. Most just want something a tad bit more interesting than solitaire.

I went home for the weekend and played the MP beta at a friend's house (only comp I have is a macbook and mac mini). The gameplay is pretty fun. In my opinion, though, the physics are what make the game, not the graphics.

I might build a PC desktop for it and the other upcoming FPS games.

Only this thread could make me feel old. about to turn 26 and started PC gaming on the Commodore 64. I still remember Zak McKracken (sp?) and the original Pirates! I found them all on some website but I don't remember the URL.

I stayed away from gaming for awhile, until I got a decent career and started to make real money. NewEgg rewarded me with a stupidly high line of credit. I'm trying to fight the urge ... ugh..

I got an ASUS board that supports Xfire, I forget the model -- M2N-MVP I think? The 2900XT is an enormous card. On the ASUS board, it actually gets in the way of the SATA connectors on the lower PCIe slot. You're also going to need 4 (Two 2x3 and two 2x4) power leads from the PSU.

I just got a 19" BenQ FP94VW. Not a huge monitor, but it has a 2ms response and HDMI input (I put my Radeon HD 2900 in it). You're *supposed* to be able to get video and audio through the HDMI, but it's not working for me for some reason. Then again, most monitors I have received from NewEgg arrived broken in some way, so this is probably no different.
