Dude, they did fine with Gamecube, it was still a very profitable system for Nintendo.

The work around is quite easy. All it really is is replacing a file, and bam it works. If you can read instructions you should be able to do it.

Though you won't be able to play online.

550 Watts would run a 9800 GT easily. What resolution do you plan to play games at? The 9800 GT is great, but once you get to 1680x1050 and above it starts to struggle a bit.
