I honestly could care less about both of them, I could never really get into them. I got further in Ocarina though.

Marjoras Mask and ALTTP are the best Zelda games IMO.

[QUOTE="Legendaryscmt"]

I think their biggest problems are their trade in values and selling used games as new. I can understand a business wanting a profit, but there's a difference between earning a profit and ripping the customer off while earning a bigger profit. As for their games, if the game is opened, it's not new. Only reason why it's not really being changed is that people don't consider it a big enough problem.

Iceman8012

Gutted copies aren't used. I am just tired of hearing that stupid excuse. It is ok to sell an "opened game" new. NO ONE HAS USED IT! Yes I do know of the rule they have for checking out games and how they are technically used (I used to work at a Gamestop). If the game doesn't look like it is brand spanking new then the employee has the payment of the game docked off of his or her pay, or they pay up front for the game. It isn't like the game is covered in dirt and scratches. It is almost like it wasn't ever used in the first place. I don't know about you, but I don't need that fuzzy feeling that no one has touched my disc outside of the assembly line.

QFT. If the game has no scratches, I don't care if the seal has been broken. Same goes for used, could care less.

I shop at Gamestop all the time, and for the most part, I really like the place. Nice employees (at least in my area) who typically know what they're talking about (even the three girls that work at mine). I trade in games every once in awhile, and not once have I actually paid for an Edge card, it's always been given to free to me.

Trade-ins can earn you a good amount of money if you look up the promotions they're running. Example, I traded in 6 games yesterday:

God of War

God of War 2

Punchout!!

Mario Kart Wii

Burnout Paradise

The Conduit

I never played any of those, but because they had a promotion where if you traded in any 4 360/PS3/Wii games, I got an extra $20. Since I put it all towards Modern Warfare 2 I got an additional 25%, and since they signed me up for the Edge card (which ended up being free...) that's another additional 10%. In total I got $117.66. Pretty damn good deal for games I never really played and was never GOING to paly.

And trade-ins is all about supply and demand. They're not going to give you $20 for Madden 2005 when they have thousands of them sitting on the shelves. Doesn't makes sense from an economical standpoint.

How so? You have L1 to aim, R1 to shoot....right and left sticks to move around, R3 to sprint...L2/R2 to throw grenades, face buttons to reload, get into prone position and take cover...

Hmmm can you explain yourself a bit more?

W1NGMAN-

IMO the thumbsticks make it a little too hard to aim, and I find it really easy to lose my grip on the PS3 controller. I like the controller, but not for competetive multiplayer games. The 360 controller has much better thumbsticks and overall feel/grip.

You lose grip of the PS3 controller? How exactly are you holding on to the controller? When I play the PS3/360 I make sure to hold them with both hands....I don't ever seem to have a problem loosing grip of either controller.

Do you really think I'm playing with one hand? lol Anyone who has had played all 3 platforms (wii excluded since it has no competitive FPS games) knows that it's PC>>>>360>PS3

Neither of them, the controller holds both games back.

When did you buy it? I know the power cords on the old Xbox got recalled because there were reports of it causing fires, maybe your power cord is going bad?

[QUOTE="cell_dweller"][QUOTE="Slig0"] [QUOTE="Daytona_178"]I7 920, i5 or Phenom IIX4,,,,,you cant go wrong with either of them!MaoTheChimp

Thanks guys....I figured that would be the way to go :)

I disagree on the flexibility part. IIRC, the i5 is limited to 4 core processors (albeit with hyperthreading) while the i7 allows for future i9 CPUs.

As for the PII, I've heard rumors that future 6-core processors will be supported by the current AM3 socket, but so far I haven't found any substantial article/source confirming or even mentioning this :?.

Keep in mind that you can grab an i7 920 for cheaps if you live near a microcenter.

Same goes for the i5 750.

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0317379

I have microcenter about 20 minutes from here, what would be the better processor of the two? And the i5 750 looks to be my sweet spot in terms of $, how big of an upgrade would that be from a E6320? I'm thinking extremely noticeable?

I haven't heard clicking noises, and my HDD is 250 GB, separated into two partitions (Daul boot XP/7). There's about 62 GB left.

Usually Windows XP is really fast, but recently accessing folders and moving stuff around has gotten terribly slow. Playing games seems to be fine, but moving stuff around/organization is really a slow task, and it bugs me because it was once much faster. I've defragged the drive, performed disk cleanup, scanned for viruses/spyware. Nothing seems to be speeding this thing up...I may try doing a fresh install, as much as I don't want too!

Could this be a sign of a HDD starting to fail? Are there any programs I can run to check the HDD for errors?

Console graphics will always get trumped by PC - PC can run games at 25x16. But kids cant afford expensive computers, plus a 30 inch monitor. They're lucky if their parents have an HDTV (1080 - haha). So bragging about PC's superior graphics to them is pointless.

trollop_scat
25x16!? Whoa, what a resolution!
