Why are all of you bashing on the graphics?l than consIt ooks better ole games, and the service works wonderfully. Yes you don't own the games, but if that really bugs you just rent it for a couple of days. The target Onaudience for Live is casuals who don't play many PC games, so why WOULD they have top of the line graphics? The casual player base doesn't care that much, and those who do have a gaming PC. It's pretty simple to figure out.
Some of you just want to see the service fail, which is unfortuante because it's just another medium for video games. Just because it's not the best service to suit your needs does NOT mean it's a piece of crap. Grow up and stop pretending the world is just about you.

Thats just it in most cases it doesnt look better then console games and in many ways its horrible for the industry. For game makers to make any real money off the games Onlive would have to pay them a huge cash advance up front thus charging even higher prices for the games . On top of that you dont even own the games .
Now take into acconunt it has competition from every major platform meaningno Nintendo, Sony or Micrsoft exclusive will ever see the lite of day on the platform. Then take into account certain pc games will never see the lite of day on the platform such as all Blizzard products and Steam products and you have somethign doomed for failure.
More competition is always good. The fact is OnLive fills a certain niche of gamers and the fact that its still around means they have to be making at least a decent amount. Again, you can rent games too if you so please. PC gaming does perfectly fine without Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft exlusives so I really don't see your point in that regard.
Anyways, here's a pic of The Ball running at 720p off of my PC. Not bad, input lag wasn't even noticable.
Mind you it would look better on something with a lower resolution, like a tiny netbook screen. I can't tell you how much of a Godsend OnLive is since I can use it on my netbook. It's awesome.
