A lot of the problems to me are unfixable. I'm not marketing or engineering graduate but it seems to me that:

Why the hell would you name it the Wii-U? Bad name for a whole new console. Sounds more like a Wii Add-on or something the casual market that kept you afloat last gen would not care about or understand.

Support developers better, many stories about how hard it is to deal with Nintendo. Maybe then will you get 3rd party support. Stop using obscene hardware that is difficult to develop for thus costing developers more money and them not wanting to make games for you.

Don't (seemingly rush) a console launch with an online system incapable of dealing with an influx of people. ESPECIALLY if there is a day 1 patch.

For the love of pete find some software engineers that can make an OS that doesn't load forever. It may have been patched up but you don't want a console launched with bad juju, because it sticks forever.

Stop with the flash space and put a real hard drive in it. The console doesn't need to be as small as possible.

If you are a Nintendo, you should not be launching a game without the following: A good 3D Mario, Zelda, or Metroid game. Launching without a killer app is retarded. No, 2D marios are not sufficient. Pikmin is not a killer app.

Any how, this console is in no way comparable to the Wii. Which in hindsight looks like an anomaly more than anything else.

GS forum sticking all my text together, maybe you guys need software engineers too.

[QUOTE="Pikminmaniac"]

Nintendo has more upcoming quality games that they are creating/supporting for Wii U than any other company has for their own consoles by quite a margin and the 2DS is actually probably going to succeed due to low price and excellent library,

Nintendo  is producing and supporting the following games this year and next for their new console.

-Pikmin 3

-The Wonderful 101

-The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker HD

-Sonic Lost World

-Super Mario 3D

-Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze

-Mario Kart 8

-Super Smash Bros.

-Bayonetta 2

-X

-Fire Emblem X Shin Megami

-Yoshi Yarn

This isn't enough?

nintendoboy16

Fans of Sony/XBOX consoles: Nope!

Won't help the console. The problem isn't just games.

[QUOTE="FoxbatAlpha"]The frame rate is fixed. Who knew? Cows wanted this game to ship broken and unfinished much like GT5 I guess. This game looks hella good.FoxbatAlpha

They still have Ryse to look forward to

Have you seen the new Ryse footage? Insanity.

I also heard the IGN guys say it was mediocre so far, well see.

The thing to remember with PC gaming is what you put in is what you get out - you build a cheap PC and you'll get a cheap experience. I'd say spend $1000 and get a top of the line rig over spending $600 and getting a good one

R3FURBISHED

I agree, if you are wanting to get into pc gaming, don't do it by a cheap system if you can help it.

If you can't spend the money to get a good one then don't do it, personally I think spending less than $1000 on a gaming PC is foolish.

I think spending more than a grand is absolutely ridiculous unless you must buy a monitor and an OS as well or are going beyond 1080p (triple monitor etc).

Diablo 1 had some fantastic music and by far the most atmosphere of the 3 games.

No images but Doom 1 used to have some freaky imagery.

Yea but KZ looks more interesting and BF has been boring garbage since 1942. But I probably won't play KZ as console FPS are as horrendous as PC players who think they're good at FPS because they play BF and CoD on max settings etc etc.

I had a bad dream once I actually played and cared about BF and CoD and their resolutions. I woke up in a sweat, I thought I became a completely shitty FPS player playing a couple of garbage games. Then I went and played CS.

My problem with the Nintendo is they do nothing to help themselves out of their own hole. Their management has done a horrendous job with most of their consoles and they can't see the forest for the trees when it comes to obtaining third party support. Horrendous management.

I'll try my hand to build a computer for $700 or less including a monitor and OS.

Win 7/8 OS: $100

Monitor: Asus 1600 x 900 19.5" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236326 $95

Apex mATX case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154094      $30

WD 500GB HDD:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769 $60

Corsair cx430: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026 $45

Kingston 4GB of ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104384 $32

Asus Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131795 $60

FX-6300: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286 $120

GTX 650 ti boost: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127731 $155

$697

Not awful and can play all games quite well. You have room to do other things, find sales to make it cheaper, reduce some components. 1600 x 900 isn't a super demanding resolution but still good.

It's been awhile since I played D3. RMAH was the biggest killer for me. I missed the community aspect of a trade chat channels etc. I wished they tried to reintroduce that not through a forum. Also a lack of complex stats in favor of idiot simplicity. It's like a action RPG for Mac users.
