"But be careful, because I'm a hell of a *** MC. You don't want me outshining you on your hit."
LMAO Red and Meth are still amazing artists; even if the youthful generations don't recognize it.
I do appreciate the more lyrical direction of hip-hop, but mainstream is not doing good. It's all cookie cutter bs; like it has been for nearly 20 years with few exceptions. Now people look up to Kanye, whose music is full of hateful messages towards all demographics all while the artist himself thinks he's a musical God. Self-inflated dumb shit is what he is... Kanye's not the only one. Drake basically copied Lil Wayne but adds a harmonious spin to the sound and all of a sudden he's the top dog.... I digress.
How High is in my collection and I love it. More please!
I don't care about the voice work. Glad method man is working and involved in things I enjoy but I don't play CoD so it doesn't matter to me.
Microsoft started nickel and diming customers with XB360 by way of "choice" in overpriced accessories.
Then they started having problems with and closing down first party studios with the remaining studios focusing on Kinect experiences and Avatars.
As time went on Microsoft completely failed to understand why customers paid the ridiculous amounts to use XB360. And the launch plan for Xbox One was all about expanding on how to rip off customers while presenting it as "choice."
The Xbox One failed from a hardware perspective and software perspective all for a price $100 over its main competitor.
Microsoft was really full of themselves going in and it wasn't until they were forced to reorganized and refocus that they began this "custom centric" approach.
So yeah. Go out of business or rebuild your customer base by becoming more friendly with the customers.
If Microsoft had not taken such drastic turns in direction, they risked the entire Xbox business; which has been historically difficult for MS, the parent company, to justify.
Now XBO is a great platform that has some fair options for customers in comparison. And project Scorpio is going to be powerful and cool and be more open. So for now, Xbox is looking like a good platform to choose as a customer. Sony is doing great too. So it's just a much better landscape for customers right now. Plus the Switch adds a new dinension to it all.
For me, Standard 3x3 and Rumble are the modes I enjoy the most. The others can be fun distractions but not something I go back to often.
But I also prefer the standard arenas over the awkward shapes.
Rocket League is high on my list of my favorite new IPs for this generation of consoles. Which is significant to me since I play majority single player experiences and minimal competitive online multiplayer.
@Sandpark: the Xbox One S is an Xbox One with a UHD drive. Nothing more. The PS4 Pro is exactly what Sony said it would be - a more powerful PS4.
Microsoft is taking a slightly different approach to reach a silimar goal. The difference between PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio is higher native resolutions for Xbox One games running on 4K TVs.
Maybe that extra power comes $100 over PS4 Pro or maybe it's $200, My point is between $400-500 is a sweet spot and going beyond is risky for a large audience.
I'm not sure what special things you think Scorpio is going to do that hasn't been announced that would make the masses want to buy one at a higher cost.
No matter how high it fills in the price range for gaming hardware: PS4/XBO S ($250), Switch ($300), PS4 Pro ($400), Xbox Scorpio ($???), PC ($800-?000), Mac ($2500+).
People can scuff at the lack of UHD support on PS4 Pro, but that, along with a lower performance target compared to rumors for Scorpio, allowed Sony to launch the Pro at the same price as the launch of the original PS4. $400 is a sweet spot for a new console.
$600 really hurt the PS3.
$500 for the original Xbox One w/Kinect was a problem, but possibly only because people didn't necessarily want Kinect.
So for Scorpio to sell well it needs to be between $400 - 500. Anything above that lessens its potential significantly.
I understand why it's premium, but reaching much higher makes it hard to argue for a console against similarly priced PCs. And while MS wants Windows and Xbox to both do well, they don't want to step on their own toes.
@BabeNewelll: Self reflection is recommended. These min specs articles just remind me how far behind my current specs are for modern gaming. I've got consoles as an alternative but I still game on PC too.
@illage2: I appreciate you're actually providing useful information. Your build meets recommended specs and that's fine, but it's below my personal minimum specs as you see in my previous comment. Build what I've described and the cost for me is valid.
@repulsive44552: did anybody ever consider that I need to basically build a new computer? And that maybe I don't want it to be minimum specs? And that my personal target puts new parts at around $1000?
