Correction: I originally stated " Sony claimed that it was because gamer's didn't feel rumble was unncessary. "

This should be reworded " Sony claimed that it was because gamer's did felt rumble was unncessary."

@Good-Smurf Xbox360 and PS3 controllers already cost between $40-60 for a new one based on the model and features you are buying (not including off-brands). The Wii U controllers are still likely to fall in that range and possibly up to the $100 mark depending on how Nintendo decides to approach pricing of the accessory.

Multi-touch should have been priority. The cost difference should have been minimal. The excuse that it isn't necessary doesn't negate the fact that it severely limits gameplay options that could have been expanded well beyond the buttons.

Kind of sounds like Sony when the PS3 was set to launch with the SixAxis (no rumble). Sony claimed that it was because gamer's didn't feel rumble was unncessary. Then the DualShock 3 conveniently launched soon after Sony closed on legal issues with the company that licenses the rumble technology and all of a sudden it's important again.

There hasn't been a decent F2P model that doesn't "milk the consumer" thus far. So I'm curious to see what Crytek thinks they can do differently that will make them money and, at the same time, appease customers without milking them.

It's almost given that the new Xbox and Playstation will be shown at next year's E3 expo. The open questions are:

* When they launch will they immediately drop support for the previous gen (ala Xbox => Xbox 360)?

* Will they launch the console holiday 2013 or 2014?

This year's E3 makes it clear that there is plenty of stuff being held back from both Microsoft and Sony. And I think it's safe to assume that it's because the good stuff is coming with new consoles. The Wii U and the degenerating buzz for the current consoles will likely push them to come out with new consoles by 2014.

It shows that Sony has a good relationship with it's development partners. I was very happy with the line-up of games presented, but I couldn't help but feel that they are holding back and just wading the tide until PS4. I was expecting Sony to really step it up with the PlayStation Network this year.

I was really disappointed in Nintendo's online announcements. I wanted a lot more from them to catch up to Microsoft and Sony. Instead they are gradually adding tiny pieces of the puzzle that's already been put together for them on the other systems.

The biggest potential downside to XboxGlass is that it sounded like it was going to be for Windows devices only. Meaning only windows smartphones and windows tablets will be able to use the new features. This is bad news if they do it this way because people are happy with their Android and iOS smartphones and tablets and XboxGlass will be full of unused potential if Microsoft attempts to keep it closed to Windows-only devices.

Let's hope they are smart enough to invest in putting XboxGlass on competing devices as well. Apple has already made that mistake with AirPlay; a great feature that is difficult to use if you don't own an Apple device.

@liam82517 The details of the settlement are not announced. So at this point it's unclear if or for how long Activision has the rights for the use of the Modern Warfare IP. It's also unclear if West and Zampalla will be rewarded with "a butt load of cash."

However, I would agree that it appears that EA has come out the majority victor in this case.

Out of spite, I would like to see Activision loose the Modern Warfare IP. But it really doesn't matter. Modern Warfare will just become the next Medal of Honor over time.

multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) ? So is this an all out hack-n-slash brawl between players in a confined arena? They've at least got my curiosity as to what the gameplay will be like.
