This by no means me trying to troll. I kind of get what Phil Spencer is saying, but imo this article feels kind of desperate to me, after years of xbox not quite making it in the japanese market, it feels like they're just now trying to appeal the japanese audience.
@STROA @shaolinwind @HybridKing I'd wait until next year or so to get one of the next gen consoles, reason being: if there's anything wrong with console like a RROD of something, wait for them to fix it and the other reason being more games will be released.
@shaolinwind @STROA @HybridKing IDK, seems like ever since they're policies were recieved with such backlash they've been trying to do damage control. Their policy reversal in particular makes me cautious as to what they have in store for the console.
@STROA Yeah I remember them being there when the PS4 was first announced. Though they are releasing their games on X1 as well, I haven't really heard them praise it like they've praised the PS4.
I think MS should just let their console do the talking when it comes out. Same with Sony, they've already shown what their console will do, no sense in chatting it up so much now, just seems like needless advertising now.
@jd7904 @pr56 The only thing that should decide which console you get is preferences. I'm getting the PS4 not because I think its a better system cause like you said, they're pretty much the same thing lol but because of the price point and the fact that the games I want for next gen are multi plat. Right now the only difference I see between the consoles is the Kinect, PS4 gets Cloud next year and the fact that MS can't seem to make up their minds about consoles has me a little wary of them right now.
@stan_boyd @HybridKing To answer that question, I'd like the parent to lol I honestly think this would have made a good launch day article because by that time, more devs would have had more time to play around with the system and get more experience instead of playing it safe.
