Go into your web browser on your PC and type the IP address of your router into the address bar. (Usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.100 or similar). This'll bring up your routers config menu. You can find out exactly which IP address your router uses via google. The username and password are usually both "Admin" or "Administrator" or similar. You can also find the exact username/password for your model of router via google...

That's not really helpful

I know how to get into my router's settings. When I go wireless my NAT is open but since going wired, my nat is moderate... again I'm NOT connected wireless...

I bought the most expensive ASUS router the other day, it was around 300 dollars , and still was not satisfied with my internet. It was noticeable in online gaming... So I decided to go wired, and OMGG What a huge difference. I always thought Call of Duty was a laggy game, but I no longer get lags, bullet register all the time and it's just so much better.

The cons, 50 feet cable ran under the carpet.... but well worth it! and returned that garbage overpriced router, it was AC88U I think

Let's say you bought a router, and installed it... what would you do with the settings to get the best online gaming experience?

Like setup static Ip, DNZ and other things... Technical stuff that the average doesn't know... or do you just take it out of the box and install it
