[QUOTE="mystic_knight"] :? Motoblur is not used on the razr, well its modified from its older releases and its actually a great UI with cool smart actions. Do not compare the razr UI to any of the previous motoblur UI's its very different. Semianonymous is actually correct about the holo theme its only used for applications to keep them consistent across the android OS. You will never get a vanilla experience unless you choose a phone made by google (and who ever they partner up with) or if you root it. I still place the RAZR as better than a galaxy nexus, Build quality is superior with similar hardware functions and a super amoled advanced screen, greater contrast ratio for more vibrant colours. Accessories such as a laptop dock and a car mounted gps holder all improve the usefulness. The only downside is the wide bezel that surrounds the screen making it feel a little big to hold. The galaxy nexus has 2 features which make it better, NFC and 720p display.semianonymous

-motoblur is on the razr

-motoblur on the razr is visually identical to everything used from the Droid X on

-the Galaxy nexus has a Super Amoled HD screen. This is wildly superior to the razr's QHD super amoled screen for obvious reasons. Not sure where you got this Super Amoled "advanced" thing from

-Nexus has all those accessories

Just sayin'

Thank you for rebutting Mystics comment, I actually laughed when i read that. Just a quick correct though the galaxy nexus does not have its own lap dock, I don't know if it is compatible, but honestly who cares. the lap dock pro is 350 dollars, even though smartphones are powerful they are not that powerful. you are essentially paying 600 dollars for a net book. no thanks

I think it's a common notion that the true geeks of the android community (me included) hates manufacture skins on android. How ever this is because we don't like how we are mandated to have these skins but even if we download a new launcher we are still stock With the modded status bar modded dialer and any other modded application. This is annoying On the other hand some people do like these skins. Maybe because of the organization in the launchers and easier to use features. This is why I came up with an idea for all the android manufactures to put in place. Only sell your phones with stock android have an icon (bloat ware) right on the first desktop with the name of there own custom launcher. That will take you to the download page for that specific launcher on android market. Download it for free, and then charge 1.00 for the widget pack or 1.00 for a wallpaper pack any way you look at it this will make more money for the companies. I recently decided not to get a phone primarily because of its launcher and I really never want to go through that again.

I made my decision I will be getting the galaxy nexus. Since the nexus is like the solid base phone for the android platform much like Nokia for windows blackberry for blackberry and apple with, well the iPhone. Considering also that Samsung is the main part producer for the iPhone which aside for its lack of customization, and individuality, and last generation hardware and tiny screen is a very solid phone because of the sum of its Samsung parts. As far as the razr I understand that it is a very durable phone, but that's what I have insurance for I have no need for a 21hour battery, although I will buy the extended battery for the nexus. But overall the thing that kills me. He main reason I will not get the razr. Is sh#ty Motoblur and the bloat ware installed. I love the ics look and feel. I do not want to wait six months to get it to find Motoblur making it look like crap. And yes I can root my device and install the ics launcher but that doesn't stop Motoblur from slowing down my phone, making my dialer look like a child's toy, and having a status bar that takes up half the screen. So officially with a poll of 50/50 I have decided to get the galaxy nexus tomarow. The next time I post I will be doing so on the nexus and I will comment on if I made the right decision

what are you talking about? google had already stated that having the holo theme mandatory on all new phones was to prevent fragmentation, Companies can still have there own custom launchers like motoblur, but the stock launcher has to be installed as well.

right now im all for samsung, because its the best of both worlds close to 90%of the iphones hardware is samsung, so its like an iphone with android, a deadly combination. Although watch out for motorola, the recent buy out by google, the makers of Android, Im sure the APhone will be anounced this year and it will be motorola.

Im in between the Galaxy Nexus and Droid Razr Maxx which just happens to be available on the day i get to upgrade. I really want the holo theme, and the maxx has alot better battery life but, i do not like the motorola skin, I assume since motorola is now google they will have the holo theme. I would just like a little reinsurace.

another problem, I think the current halo fan base only jumped on board after halo 3, they don't know how good of a game halo 2 was, if you are one of them, and if Bungie still has the servers up I suggest you play it, what is strange is halo 3's graphics are not that much better than halo 2

[QUOTE="woodenfork21"][QUOTE="Hypereagle"][QUOTE="woodenfork21"] oh, ur a ps3 fanboy in disguise...i should have known. get a life man...

No I through away any fanboyism I might have had, I know the 360 is better at multi platforms, where as sony can produce, a lot better exclusives, on the other hand the xbox has a better graphics card and a lot better user interface, so honestly I am no longer a fanboy of any system, because the truth is they both succeed where the other fails, I am now living with the best of both worlds, I just can't stand how overrated halo is. Newsflash Halo is not Xbox and Xbox is not Halo.

well thats good to hear....but have you considered that Halo is so popular just for the simple fact that it's fun to play? its just a fun game to play and people like it....how can that be overrated. if anything Bungie got it just right? an addictive fun game that people like...why is that so horrible? unless ur just one of those people that hate popular things...?

don't get me wrong I loved halo 2 I spent countless hours on my first xbox 360 playing with m friends on xbox live, but I just hated halo 3, Halo used to be a four year game halo 1 four years later halo2 four years later Halo 3, after that yearly, halo wars halo 3 odst, halo reach and now halo 4, when a game goes from a longer lifespan to a shorter lifespan its obvious the gam is becoming over rated, If they would have worked harder and longer on halo 3 it would have been loved a lot more by halo one and two lovers, and these yearly releases are meaningless distractions for bungie, wasting your money, and wasting their time.
