How in the world does it take you 20 minutes to search through 200 GB of stuff? I've probably got 250 GB of stuff on my drive and I can find pretty much anything in about 15 seconds at the most. You've got games in this column, videos in the next, music in the next, and then it's sorted any way you want within those columns.

With the latest let down update, I mean software update (4.0) I feel like sony is not hearing its customers, mainly me! The cross media bar is a nice interface, but the fact of the mater is that it was never made for the vast amount of content that the ps3 now supports, I recently bought a 500 gig harddrive for my ps3 and went download Crazy, it takes me roughly 20 minutes to search through al of my content, the thing is I still have over 300 gigs left!

-my perposal is a brand new interface, sony has already proven they can step away from the xmb with the playstation vita, although I do not suggest the vitas design. (yuck)

-To prevent Home from dying, they should push home intergration in with the interface, with a unified system, psn, and home username, and avatar.

-To promote all of the wonderful content on the psn store, they should intergrate store based content in the interface.

-Now i know that this is a scary thaught for some, but I feel like the playstation would benefite amensly, I think Playstation 3 should run a special port of android 3.0 tv edition, It would still look like playstation, and android apps would not be available, but the android platform is incredibly fast and alot more secure then the xmb, we all know how well our android phones run with 1ghz processing power, well the ps3 has 3.2 ghz processing power dedicated to the xmb, with that kind of power, multitasking will be a breeze, even with only 256 gigs of ram

Oh God! ou know i was hopping that when sony was just releasing some tiny bug updates and slowing down the update rate, that we were close to a major release, then considering we were still at firmware 3.7 or 3.8 them skipping straight to 4.0 made it sound like a big update disapointing sony. Lets face it the xmb is nice but it is flawed, lack of organization, lack of cleanness and lack of Psn intergration, we need a new playstation 3 interface, pronto something that sticks out and makes me glad I dished out 50 dolars for psn plus
