i too am not looking forward to new SE games as much as i used to. Id never played an ff game before i got 10, but i was looking forward to it for months when i first heard about it. ff12 i also looked forward too. but even though it had solid gameplay and story and characters it didnt really feel like an ff. for me it needs to be turnbased, i know that this is old now. i hope ff13 and verus dont go into god of war grounds as an action game, bnecause ff needs to remain an rpg.

I had access to all the gambits but I really only used a few.

For the random battles, I set all the characters to use Gambits. Boss battles, I always controlled the main character which was usually Vaan.

I have to admit that I liked the gambit system. I thought I would hate it when Square announced the change but it was kind of nice to only manage the characters when I wanted to. Most of that management was to just tweak their gambits. :P

I agree, I also loved the gambit system. It was nice to just set up some sort of a strategy when you knew what you were going to be dealing with. However, I always had some certains in my gambit list. Like I always had Protect, Life and Curaga on there, no matter what. And towards the end of the game I also always had Bubble on there too. Or in a trap-heavy area I'd always be using Float.

I always had life and curaga, for sure... but rarely protect, sometimes haste.. never used float even once in the game, and I think I only used bubble once....

Ooo yea! I used Haste a LOT too. Float was nice in those trap-heavy areas with small hallways. I got sick of trying to walk around them so I just cast Float. XD Bubble was great, I used to use the Bubble belt but I traded that for the accessory that doubles your LP/EXP.

hmm I kept my bubble belt it was a life saver when getting those extra espers

Ehh...not too sure. I'm delving into a few things but as of now..I'm not sure I even want to be in school so much anymore. >_> I've had a lot on my mind lately.

Yeah I know how you feel, I've been feeling the same. Not sure I want to go to grad school anymore.

Yea, it's like I get more satisfaction out of just working. And I see more point in it for now. Who knows, I might change my mind down the line but for now I am fine with just working.

I decided the same thing and didn't go to grad school either. I think that I actually learned more working than I would have if I went.
