Awesome!! Wow, there is a whole bunch of different characters!!! I'm still playing the first Kingdom Hearts though! But I can't wait to get to this one!michelle_moraes
Don't forgetto play KH:CoM too!
[QUOTE="Andraxal"]Ahhahahahaha!!!! :D Well since we started talkin' about the end of the world, first I think Japan will take over the world with rapid mouth foaming FFVII fans. Ahahaha, they've already got an army!! :D Anyway, did you know that FFVII actually HAS influenced many crimes and murders? Did you guys hear about the russians/Czechs I beleive they were? There was also a case a long time ago in the US too. IpodHero176
I heard of that(a little).
I haven't, what happened??
[QUOTE="Hyuugas-Shadow"][QUOTE="S_Jake"][QUOTE="queen_valentine"][QUOTE="kryu88"]I just started to play through it again last night and I'm still amazed at how great the game looks for being 7 years old and on the PS1. I'll also agree with the sound design, its very mood setting and gets you more into the location you're in. I noticed that the man who composed VS also did the composing for FFXII (Hitoshi Sakimoto) so its no wonder why I now hear the similarities between the two.

Ooooh I loooove Hitoshi Sakimoto!! I am absolutely in love with the FFXII OST. I don't think I've ever listened to an OST as much as this one. I remember I was so bummed upon hearing the news that Uematsu was leaving and someone else would be doing the OST for XII. I am not bummed anymore! :P
More than this, there were a lot of small features of FFXII that were taken from Vagrant Story: From little things like the screen pulse during boss battles to a plethora of references to Vagrant Story characters (and suchlike) in the monster descriptions. I think you should definitely give Vagrant Story a try: I think that you may really like it. :)
Plus they were set in the same world anyways: Ivalice
Was it? There was no mention of this when the game was released. It was set in the Kingdom of Valendia, but no mention of a place outside of this (or the wider world) was mentioned at any point in the game or the publicity at the time (not that I can recall at any rate). I wonder if this was something that was decided at a later date? I'll look into it and see what I can find anyway.
you can look up Vagrant Story on wikipedia, they mentioned it when FFXII came out when they strarted calling the XII games and the Tactics games the Ivalice Alliance

Michiru Kita is a special girl who possesses Shinigami Eyes, which allows her to see a dark ring around a person's neck. This ring symbolizes the person's impending death; once they are marked to die, a gray ring, which is invisible to normal people, appears around their neck. Over time, the ring gets darker, and once the ring turns completely black, the person dies.It wouldn't let me post the rest, some sort of error, so go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombie-Loan for the rest.

hmm in a way it reminds me shakugan no shana, how yuji sees the flame in the torches and the flame over time starts to fade out and when it completely goes away their existence is erased.
[QUOTE="Hyuugas-Shadow"][QUOTE="queen_valentine"]What Square needs to do is find out why FF7 did so well and make something new out of that. Not keep making FF7 stuff because they'll know it'll do well.S_Jake
I think whatSE needs to do is learn to move on
You might be right, but this'll not happen until their current games fail to sell.
thats true, so atleast SE isn't completely focused on remakes they still are producing some new ones though their releases are still a little ways off
