Antec EarthWatts 430Wshould handle a 8800GTS unless you are running a killer overclockedsystem with QX6800 +four Raptors in RAID + multiple DVD drives + + + etc...

32 bits maps to 4GB, but some of it is dedicated in Windows for hardware interfaces, etc. which leaves only 3 to 3.5GB available for software to use.

The 320MB 8800GTS is more than enough for 720p resolution, no need for 640MB.

I would lean toward a p35 motherboard and probably drop the extr $20 for a Q6600.

Last, I would probably get a OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W for $80 or Antec True Power Trio TP3-550550W for $70 instead of the Raidmax.

Actually, AMD bought ATI... and Asus has been making video cards for a while now... using both ATI and Nvidia cores.

The cooler isn't needed, but is quieter and keeps the processor cooler than the stock cooler... great if you wanna overclock.

dont listen to this guy, that card is great unless you want to play the latest dx10 games, but there arent any. 7950gx2 is slightly better than the 8800gts but not the gtx

IF you can still find a 7950GX2, don't get it! The 8800GTS isfaster in most games and supports DX-10 and costs less.

And if you want the best there is, that would currently be the 8800TGX... at least until November or later...
