wow, some of you are slow all the processing of the games are being handled by one of their millions of servers and then streamed to your PC or microconsole. the reason it works is that they mad new video transfer technology (because they understand it now) that compresses the video and sends in out in about 1 millisecond instead of 500 milliseconds like other technology. everyone playing multiplayer will be more like a lan party because all of the gamers will be playing on PCs in the same room and all the video info is transferred to your PC or Microconsole.
also, i think if anybody is to subscribe, i hope millions of people do. the more subscribers they get, the more money they have to give us better price options and evolve their support.
i my opinion, this could be the answer to the one console future. its capable of supporting everything. my only hope is a low cost and a lot of support.
if alot of you are worrying about cost, think of it this way. xbox live has services like this and it costs 50 bucks a year and buying full games are 10 bucks.
xavi_elric, if you watch the video, the describe that the average transfer rate of HD is around 2mbps. 5 is only the highest rate. they are currently only planning to release the service in north america anyway, and when they can figure out faster transfer speeds, they will branch out.
i think this is sweet. i dont have to gum up my PC with random game crap from updates and patches(even though i built it for it) and i can stick to using it for 3d design and other digital art. not good for moders though. and im guessing you cant use custom mods too (like skins, AI mods, lighting mods, ect...)
i have intel core 2 quad 12mb L2 cache 2.86ghz 1333mhz fsb dual Geforce 9800m GT 512mb w/sli 4GB DDR3 Vista ultimate 32/64 bit being the fact that you guys used some better hardware, can you tell me how good my laptop can run this? i built it for digital artistry and game development. but i have no clue what it can do.
