I was reaally looking foward to this game, but yesterday I saw that Painted Black video on IGN... and.. wow, it looks terrible. The noted don't even match the song. The good thing about GH 1 and 2 was the notes were so fluid and hard, but also fun and addicting. This is just really poorly placed and does not make it feel like you are playing the song. I have not played it yet, but I might wait. Also WTF is up with the last boss.. the devil, I mean c'mon, they can come up with something better then that. I would much rather play a real guitar player, not the devil. Neversoft ruined the Tony Hawk games I a sure they will screw this up. I will just get rock ban, cuz its from the makers of GH anywho.Lawnboi

I just watched the "Paint it Black"gameplay footage and I have to say... are we watching the same thing? The notes and chords seem flawlessly synced with the music. I think people just bash games for the hell of it because I can not see where you're coming from.

That's why the image should be 16x9 like it is when playing single-player.

It is 16x9, unless you play split screen, then they logicaly shrink the image to maintain the preportion, people need to realise this and stop complaining about it like it's a problem.

I didn't say Halo 3 was a horrible game, if you took it that way, so be it. I'm saying it is a over hyped game, and doesn't provide enough gameplay for me. Gears of War is a GREAT game, but it was first in its series, which made it GREAT. When you have 3 Halos, that are basically the same thing over and over again, it gets BORING. Gears of War had some great features, and made the 10 hours of gameplay worth it. Halo is just your typical FPS, that got it's roots from Metroid. pagnozzi

So after some time with Halo 3 I must say i am very dissapointed. I might as well have bought an upconverted version of Halo 2. After the same game play for years now you would think they would change it up a little bit, instead it's the same 10 year olds being idiots online inthe same ways that have always bugged me. And no widescreen for co-op? Why can't they just make it go widescreen, can the system even handle that? GOW is much better in my opinion even though it's short. I am just waiting for my 360 to give me another 3 rings while I play this repeat.swatpup102

There is so much hype about Halo 3, and it is making me sick. If you want to spend $60 on a game that is only about 20 hours of gameplay (not including multiplayer) go ahead. But it isn't worth it to me. I love FPS, but Halo got really old. I see no point in putting $60 out for a game that I will beat in 20 hours. It was the same as Halo and Halo 2, I beat the games in 15-20 hours, and played about 100 hours of multiplayer between the 2 of them (which gets very old.) I honestly believe Halo 3 only got a 9.5 on gamespot because of the Halo fans, rather than real gamers.

Gears of War is the BEST'new' FPS, so screw Haloand stop making games that are only going toget played for about 20 hours until they are beat. If you REALLY want a game that is WORTH $60, get Oblivion. That game has 100's of hours of gameplay, and itwill take even longer to beat with the new exp. pk. That is a REAL game, not Halo 3.

By the way, I don't HATE Halo 3, it's just over rated in my opinion,and made out to be the greatest game of all time, and it is far from it.

Gears is not an FPS. Stop ranting about Halo, people like it you don't... why do people feel the need to change people's oppinions about this game. I enjoy Halo a lot, mostly because of the great online and community features, I'm no fanboy and I didn't buy it because of the hype, I know a horrible FPS when i see one. Don't insult my intelligence.
