sry for posting in old thread:
question:
I watched a few videos about Beyond and stuff. And it seems like that you dont really controll much. Isnt it possible that the sequences are all pre rendered and are just played back like a cutscene? like it doesnt really take much power to achieve those graphics?
because its not like a "normal" game where you can do what you want. Its almost a film where you just press a button from time to time
And a PS4 Game to Match Quantum Break Graphics?
The Order 1886
CEO, Ready at Dawn:
We also strived to create a seamless experience when it came to the game. The idea was to make sure that you never saw any visual discrepancies or breaks in continuity between gameplay and cinematic. Our game models and our cinematic models are one and the same, and everything is rendered real time in the engine as you play the game. The trailer we presented is a great example of that. What you saw is running in-engine, in-game with no gimmicks. These visuals are what you can expect of the final game when you play it.
Except I just posted a link from the developer confirming that the game was running on Xbox One devkit.[QUOTE="ShoulderOfOrion"][QUOTE="dream431ca"]
If I'm a fanboy, then are delusional to think that, and you are also delusional to think that the Quantum Break E3 demo was actual XB1 hardware
dream431ca
Devkit =/= XB1 hardware.
Can you provide a link and show us what kind of specs that devkit had?
a Dev Kit has the same Cpu and GPU and all that. The only thing that is different is the RAM. Dev Kits usually have more RAM.
And that is confirmed by several Devs... ( Jonothan Blow on Twitter for example...)
The only way that forza 5 could run at that was by using a high end pc, to simulate how the cloud will work in helping the game it is not a true reflection of how the game will look just running on xbox one.
These dev kits you talk of are pc's with high end graphics cards thank you very much.

just incase no one wants to read he's the ending paragraph
"Regardless, Microsoft has spoken and if they say that Windows 7 PCs with Nvidia GTX cards are dev kits for the Xbox One, then they're dev kits for the Xbox One. Just don't expect Xbox One games to look remotely similar when they actually launch for the console, given that they were running on a card that costs more than the system itself and is more powerful than both the Xbox One and PS4 combined."

Thats pretty easy... a 7790 in a console can do way more than in a PC. And as they were using a PC withought the actual X1 architecture and the benefits of a closed console ( I doubt they have optimized that game for a random PC for E3), they just have to compensate the lack of the power with a stronger GPU in that PC. That means that the 7790 in the X1 can do much much more than in a PC and that means that its dumb to think that they are using a 7790 in a PC to show their games...
And please tell how LocoCycle needs a GTX 780... thats ridicilous
[QUOTE="RR360DD"]The Division is an Ubi game. It will look about half as good as that when it releases. seanmcloughlin
This a thousand times
On Neogaf there were some guys who have played a Demo of it behind closed doors on a PS4 dev kit. They said there were some pop ups but the graphics did look just as good as on the Ubi Press...
As its developed for Next Gens in first place, I doubt that there will be a downgrade. Watch Dogs was developed for PC and when you develop for PC, you usually make it high high high end and then downgrade it because its the easiest way to let the game fit across various systems.
WHen developing for console you only have 2 similar systems. So you can optimize it from the beginning because you know the exact specs from the start
Its impressive that no one even mentiones that DC is in the Pre Alpha STage and is only 35% finished. Thats what was written on the E3 Booth Demo and said by the Devs...
they even said that they are targeting 60 FPS
ive no idea about this. But was that E3 "Gameplay" actually CG? cause at the end it shows the name of the CG Art Director.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-hands-on-with-playstation-4
Digital Foundry made a Hands On article. Warframe on PS4 did only run 20FPS...
seriously.. a low end Gaming Rig is able to run that game in 1080p 60 fps...
