As for the ball example, the key difference there is fun. Playing an fps may be more enjoyable than bouncing a ball...
Would it? A ball game with friends can be just as fun. There is no restrictions, you start the play when you want...you refuse to join it if the other is "unfair" or whatever.
No matter how I look at it, tennis, or squash, or badminton...they all beat a shooter for me. It isn't even remotedly a close call.
Paintball might be more in your stuff, again it beat a shooter on every layer for me. "Reflex-wise", the computer is NOT my choice.
If squash could support up to 18 people (on the same court) i would tottaly agree with you on that.
I'm a constant reloader as well. I'm always afraid that if i turn a corner without that extra 3 or 4 bullets ill get killed for it yet Ive been killed many times whilst reloading. Also when i get real frustrated playing a shooter i tend to bite on the analog stick, i have no idea why but i always find myself doing it.
