Personally I would have no problem with a female lead in any sort of video games. I always played as Femshep in Mass Effect , mostly cause the poster with boring generic male action hero shepherd pissed me off. Plus it made the game more interesting.

I cant believe the sexist crap that been written so far in the comments section. I would like to apologize on behalf of men everywhere at least the decent ones.
