So...? Having a motion sensor in your controller doesn't make it amazing. To me it's just a different way to play games, but not so innovative as everyone claims. My impressions may change once developers get a chance to make a quality game (for the consumers sake, they better hurry the hell up). But, as it stands, the Wii just doesn't cut it in my opinion.
The world disagrees with your opinion. Wii is outselling both the PS3 and 360 since it's release. How does that make you feel? The Wiimote is innovative and will be copied by both Sony (they already made a laughably lame attempt) and Microsoft in the future.
No? I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel the controller is not such a big deal. I'm quite aware of how well the Wii is selling. Great for Nintendo. I have no problem with that. I've owned Nintendo consoles up until this year when I bought my 360. Why? For one, I couldn't even find a damn Wii, and secondly, there wasn't one game I was interested in. I'm very happy I bought a 360 instead of a Wii, because frankly it would be collecting dust if I had. You are most likely correct that Microsoft and Sony will make an attempt (better attempt for Sony) on motion sensoring in their controller. However, there could always be a new attempt at something else, you never know...

[QUOTE="TheCSPeaceMaker"]Seriously, do any of you even believe Nintendo will care much about the Wii once it surpasses the GC sales..their just trying to survive--if they cared, they would have invested as much as they other two did into their console while maintaining innovation.HoffgodWrong for two reasons. 1. Nintendo is in no trouble financially. At the launch of the Wii they had $6 billion saved. In fact, during the GameCube generation, they made more profit than Sony and Microsofts games divisions, separate or combined. Plus, the DS is basically a license to print money. Nintendo is not exactly looking to just survive. 2. Economics. The way Nintendo got as profitable as they are today is by making smart business decisions. Do you really think the Wii would be selling out at $400, even with 360 level graphics? No. By creating something different, in terms of control, in terms of price, in terms of emphasis, Nintendo creates product differentiation. They create something that stand out in the consumers eye as being different than the 360 and PS3, and that's only to Nintendo's benefit in this case. The controller and games like Wii Sports and WarioWare are driving tremendous sales, and almost all the talk of two console households are talking about the PS3 or 360 and a Wii. Nintendo made a smart business decision by going a different route. Disagree with the route, but don't say they don't care. Oh, and for your whole "No new IP's" thing, I have two words for you: No More Heroes.
That's three buddy.
Too bad it'll control like arse with a single analogue stick just like every other 3D PSP gamedigital_soul
They found a way around that, I.E. Syphon Filter.
So, when a multi-console game looks better on a xbox 360, it's "who cares?...i don't care less about it." BUT when it looks better on ps3, (Cow's dream every night) it's "OMG ps3 hardware pwns xbox"jiggawho2006
I own an Xbox, but this is a comparison about a series that is very inconsistant and completely unappealing to me.
