I haven't played the Crysis Beta (My rig can't handle any recent games) but the fact that Betas are usually poorly optimized and to a lesser extent your CPU might be the main factors, try OCing that E6400 to 3.2GHz if possible and wait for the demo on September 25th.

[QUOTE="Indestructible2"][QUOTE="Funkdaddy13"][QUOTE="Indestructible2"][QUOTE="Funkdaddy13"][QUOTE="j3ninja10"]its always a good time to build. if you wait you will always be waiting for newer stuff to come out. in pc gaming there is always something cheaper and better that will come out soon, thats just something you have to deal withFunkdaddy13
The reason I'm waiting is not because something better will come out but because of price drops because of competition. I want to have a computer that I can easily upgrade but I don't want to spend too much...

Then go for a cheap mid-end rig, thats easily achieveable with $600-700.

But I want to be able to play all the new games and make em look really nice. :P Oh well... I guess I'll have to do some thinking...

A $700 rig can get games looking good @ 12x10...

Games like Far Cry 2?

We don't know if even a 8800Ultra will max that game out @ 1024x768,so IDK about Far Cry 2 but almost all modern games (Except the poorly optimized ones like Oblivion,RS:V,etc) can be maxed out @ 12x10 with $700 rig,and Bioshock can also be maxed out,IDK about World in Conflict or even Crysis for that matter,we'll find out soon enough.

I read a few of the reviews and I like what I see. Some guy is running two 8800GTS in SLi...which is good to hear. Thanks for the tip guys. And just curious, whats so bad about Rosewill?jfkunrendered
Rosewill's quality is poor,CORSAIR's is next to top-of-the-line if not top-of-the-line.

CORSAIR HX520W,only a nub wouldn't buy that for under $130,that PSU is practically UNRIVALED in quality and performance in that price range.

Alright thanks. I thought the 8800gts 320mb was pretty much equal in performance with the 640mb version. Why spend the extra on the 640mb?

mistat4

More futureproof than the 320MB version...

Btw don't bother with Dx 10,we don't know how well the current Dx 10 cards will perform in Crysis...
