Considering they are called video game consoles, thats really the first thing that hits me.

PSP has everything but the games up to this point, yet your defending it? People like you are the reason video game consoles will die down.

I'm building a PC soon because I can already tell this is going to occur. People want a multimedia center instead of a video game console.

Its why I haven't bought a PS3 and most likely won't. It's just like the PSP, a multimedia beast that offers a very little selection of games.

I'm getting a PS3 with Heavenly Sword and Casino Royale for $90 probably. :D

There is a deal at BestBuy, 40" BRAVIA with the 60GB, choice of a game (Lair, Heavenly Sword and NBA 08) and a choice of a Blu-Ray movie (Casino Royale, Talledega Nights and something else, just can't remember atm) for $2090.

I've persuaded my parents into buying it sometime this week, they get the HDTV and I get the PS3.

I had no intentions of getting a PS3, but for $90 how could I not take the offer?

Nevermind, Dell really does suck. Everyone in my family bought a Dell because they fall for all the marketing crap. The laptops and computers are newer model than the HPlaptop I bought, but I could atleast run Battlefield 2142 on minimum, none of the Dell's could.

My weapon of choice?

SEALs: M11 and SR-25 in Socom 2, 9mm and M40A1 in Socom 3/CA

Terrorists/Mercenaries: M9 and 552SD in Socom 2, F57 and M82A1A.

I usually used the pistols, only time I used primary weapons was when someone was too far.

Is this a pretty decent laptop? (My brother got it as a gift but he barely uses it, so I was thinking about using it for gaming)

Would it be able to run some recent games at minimum settings atleast? I want to be able to play something like Company of Heroes or WorldIn Conflict andNeverwinter Nights 2.

Also, would I be able to atleast run some future releases at minimum settings like Hellgate: London, The Witcher, Crysis or are the specs to low?

I used to be a PC gamer but I just got into consoles more, I want to try and get back into PC gaming because they're are alot of games i'm interested in, so I was going to use his laptop to see if I can get back into gaming instead of building a PC and then not like it.

Ratchet and Clank , Uncharted , GTA 5 prologue , Haze , Eye of Judgement just to name a few...

I have never been a fan of the Ratchet series. I despise racing games. Console FPS = aim assisted, so I would rather not play Haze. Eye of Judgement? Doesn't sound like it appeals to me.

You might have convinced me more if you listed LittleBigPlanet, which IMO is the best PS3 title next year.

The games aren't bad, they just don't appeal to me.
