I'm on my second xbox, and when the first one broke it was entirely my fault... Oblivion was too adicting and by that time I didn't know the console overheated or of the exitence of the 3 red lights. After 6 hour marathons the console was blazing hot and freezed from time to time, 3 weeks later died. Now for my second console that I've had since november 06 I've taken all the meassures I could think of and everything is fine :)
But my friend for instance got the console two weeks ago and after 2 days he got the red lights... Sometimes it is a matter of taking care of the console, but other times is just a matter of a poorly built machine.

even if you are playing it for 6 hours at a time the system still should be able to handle that. microsoft should issue a recall. my second system is at the microsoft service center right now, and if i have to have it serviced again im just gonna get a ps3.
It should be able to handle 6 hour sessions but in this heat in the summer it seems to be a problem for people, oblivion is the game that fried my first console, its too addictive lol
Blue Dragon demo was amazing i thought and since my 360 is been in repair i havn't had a chance to play ES, but im looking forward to playing the demo tonight or tomorow :)
I would say either Eternal Sonata or Bioshock, but just think which one will keep you playing longer if your strapped for cash and dont own many games.
Im on my 2nd, and i take GREAT care of my systems, i used to be like; "All those people with RoD haha, mine works fine!" Had it 10 months roughly then it crapped out, so dont be so smug about how you and your friends take care of your systems can still break anytime soon.
Another tip is to kill Adam the clown and you get his mini-chainsaw's, then grab a few books from some shops that will increase the life of your chainsaw, will make your first play through a bit easier and boss fights much easier.
Another tip for the war vet in the store, is once you hurt him and he goes to throw grenades, leave the shop then go back in, he will be back on the ground ready for you to just hit him again.
