If you guys are excited about the Wii U now, wait until you see what they have in store at E3.

[QUOTE="SuperFlakeman"]

"As you may have gathered i'm a big fan of Nintendo , not just their games but also their way of doing things which incidentally sits very much in line with how Rare used to do things… ie: They make the games they want to. They take as long as they need to take. They make hardware purely to support the needs of these aforementioned games."

This explains why Rare was my favorite developer in the period 1997-2000.

Agreed. They were pretty much on par with Nintendo's best imo. People can say whatever they want about how Nintendo's policies, but developers like Rare, Square, and Silicon Knights were at their peak when they worked closely with them.

Good read. Chris Seavor and the talent at Rare were really something special back in the day. Sad to know that the company has been reduced to being a kinect factory. I hope the era of bloated big budget/casual fad games come to an end so that we can have developers like the old Rare making gamers games we used to enjoy.

Don't reject the reality of what is going on just because you don't like what you see.

I guess if Sony is rumored to be bowing out, someone has to keep tradition.

Must've missed the part where they lost most of their 3rd party exclusives, removed backwards compatability and compromised account information.

The VITA has pretty much failed in Japan at this point. But remember Eastern and Western markets are completely different, failure in one could be sucess in the other. So we have to wait for the VITA's release in Europe and NA before making a judgement.DeX2010
This I'll be watching very closely, but who in the Western territories are going to pass up console versions of COD and Uncharted for a handheld that costs as much as a console? I know the answer but I should've added "and keep the Vita viable at the same time?"

That's not fair TC. Companies do well based on pure optimism alone!
