Amelia and the Old Coot

There, I did it, I managed to play through the campaign in Age of Empires III. Took me a few days, but it was worth it. Unfortunately, that means I won't play that game again for a while. But I keep coming back to those games, ever since I played the demo of the first installment back in 1997. Never liked Age of Mythology, but then again I tend to play these games as "RTS with a very efficient use of the PAUSE button" when I can (Rise of Nations, for instance, I probably wouldn't have liked if it weren't for the fact that I can pause every nanosecond). This, however, means that I am rubbish at multiplayer games, but then I never liked that sort of thing.

Now, if I can only get through that annoying "Red Library" scenario in SWAT 4...

The Movies...an Annoying Disappointment!

I really, truly regret saying this, but after having waited for Peter Molyneux's The Movies since god-knows-when (at least three and a half years ago), I'm beginning to wonder whether I didn't wait just a wee bit too long. You see, at first I was captured (despite a graphics glitch that makes me restart the game every first time I start the game), but now that I've been playing for quite a lot of time I'm starting to be pretty fed up. The stars are annoying me and there are a few rather senseless bugs that shouldn't have come with the program when it's been in development for nigh on four years.

That's why I've gone back to playing Age of Empires III these last couple of days and even managed pretty well on the first part of the campaign. Looking forward to playing all the way through. Hopefully new elements will be introduced all along the way and not just throughout the first part.
