@Imperiacommando Bring it out on consoles first for up to a year or so, then bring out the PC version. Most people will want to play it when it comes out on 360/PS3, but then can experience the improved PC version if they wish when it comes out. That way they still make a decent amount of money through inital console sales
EDGE gave it a 7/10, which is about what I expected. This review seems a tad overcritical, but it's no surprise that its underwhelming really. I didn't understand what the hype was about, I hoped there was something I was missing... sadly not.
Gotta say, I knew this was going to happen from when I first saw it. Didn't think as low as 4.5 though, I think that's a bit harsh. It was the Wii U's Red Steel or Second Sight.
Although this should have happened in the last 3/4 years, i'm glad the Wii-era is coming to an end. If WiiU is a bit below the power of the PS4/Xbox3, it won't be as critical with today's and the future market more heavily involving PC/Tablets, and with the noticeable increase in graphics being almost exponentially as difficult to achieve for developers with resources costs, time etc. The bulk of games will be designed to be more scalable, like they are on PC with a low end system and a high end system. Most people are happy with HD graphics, particularly as we still continue to see even more beautiful graphics come out of 5/6 year old consoles, with games like Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes! Wii U will have the capacity to run games for the expected 5+ years of its lifespan. It's graphical high end will probably overlap with the PS4/Xbox3's midrange anyway, with only very high budget productions in the later part of the PS4's life outclassing it, by which time a new nintendo console will be on the horizon again, due to its shorter release cycles of 5 years
@VampireLord123 Nintendo got the Wii wrong in my opinion. They made it vastly underpowered and allowed the others to take the core market. All they needed was a console even half as powerful as the 360. That said, this upcoming gen with Wii U i believe they've got the balance right. Consoles don't need to advance miles ahead now, they need to slow down a bit.
@VampireLord123 Exactly. I personally think they're going in the right direction. That is precisely why Micro and Sony are delaying and thinking about how exactly to advance and go ahead now the game is changing. They're biding time, because they're wondering whether going all ahead with a new powerhouse of a console is actually going to be beneficial in the long run, for developers, consumers and for them!
