So my 5930k with 40 lanes is better than the 6800k and the 6850k. That's pretty messed up. The 6850k should definitely have 40 lanes for that kind of cash. It basically makes the 6850k pointless. Just get a 6800k.
Edit: Nevermind the graph shows 40 lanes for the 6850k the writer of the articles was wrong.
@HellaStoned: Oh stop being so petty. Be like me and own all the consoles, handhelds and a gaming PC(with 980 GTX Ti SLI soon to be upgraded to a pair of 1080s) and never miss out on any good games.
@RSM-HQ: Yeah I am actually debating between Knight and Pyro. I used Pyro for my first run of DS1 so there's some sentimental value. Knight just seems the best. I have no interest in luck. My 2nd playthrough might be a deprived SL1 run but I have no interest in going deprived for my first run since I will be building a PVP character. Too many wasted luck points like you said.
@vackillers: I'm getting between 47fps and 60fps maxed out at 3840x2160 with 2 980 TI's. My buddy has a 970 and is playing at 1080 and says he is getting 60fps. I don't know man. PC has lots of different hardware. Working ok for us.
When they add native gamepad support, I will buy it. That will probably happen when they port it to consoles. I keep seeing interviews where they say things like "we thought about how the game felt with the mouse" and it boggles my mind that they had gamepad support 4 years ago but not with this one. Things keep moving toward the couch with HTPCs and the Steam Controller, Steam consoles etc etc I work in IT at a desk with mouse/key all day. When I game, I want to do it on the couch with my Elite Xbox One controller. I very rarely use m/k anymore.
With Rise of the Tomb Raider, SF5, and Fire Emblem I will have plenty to play instead.
@mattcake: Console framerate? What? I game on my TV with my pc 3840x2160p@60 and on my monitor @3440x1440@100. There is no reason you can't get 60fps at 4k. Granted you need a lot of juice. Are you saying your rig can't handle 2160p@60? If that's the case, fine. Get a 2nd 980 ti like me.
@Printul_Noptii: We are in the same boat. I am looking forward to getting all 3. Then February has Xcom 2 and Fire Emblem Fates(3DS). Holy crap too many games!
@groowagon: Dark Souls has always been a significantly better experience on PC. Even though the PC port of 1 was terrible, PC gamers/modders fixed it and the game runs at 60FPS(or higher) which feels so smooth compared to the sub 30fps of blighttown on console. Scholar of the First Sin in 4K on PC looks absolutely beautiful. I am sure DS3 on PC will run and look much better. If you have the option, I don't see why you wouldn't get it on PC. I say this as someone who owns all the consoles as well.

This was both a gameplay tip and a reference to MG1 on MSX when Big Boss told Solid Snake to use his binoculars often.
