Hello my friends, how are you all doing? :)

I hope you all had a fantastic christmas and enjoyed that beautiful time with your family. I am sorry I wasn't available to make a Christmas blog and to track all your blogs but I went to my country house and we don't have internet there (which means spending a lot of time with the family ahah)

I wish you the best of the bests and I hope that in 2012 we stop being so materialistic and start enjoying the real good things about life and all the beauty and love that's in it.

When I have the time I will post a blog talking about my new books (my parents gave me 7 books in Christmas yay!) and I will try to comment the blogs that I missed :)

Happy new year! :D

Hugs,

Mariana

Pretty random title, I know :P

Went to Bryan Adam's concert yesterday. Freaking epicly awesome if you ask me. Since I lived in Portugal everytime he comes back he pulls off the most amazing show and the most amazing performance you could ask of him.
Well, the problem was leaving the underground parking lot at 2 a.m. With all thetrafficI was stuck undergound for at least an hour until we got out. Well at least I was able to sleep in the back of the car.

Apart from going to concerts (ahaha I wish I went to one every day) I've been pretty busy with my art projects but for god's sake school ends today! Oh yeah!

Skyrim is taking most of my free time, also. I guess one day my fingers will fall off. I think this game has a better mainstory than the previous titles and just wandering around and being crushed by a dragon is the most "awesome" scene ever! Beware the irony.

How are you doing? I hope you're all alright :)

Hugs!

Playing: Red Dead Redemption
Mood: Annoyed

It bugs the hell out of me when I refresh or go backwards in the explorer when I'm writing a freaking blog!

So how are you all doing? I'm currently saving my fingers and the last remnants of my social life to get into Skyrim as soon as I can... I've been also saving money for Uncharted 3 and the next books of the "Malazan Books of the Fallen" which are a great epic, fantasy read which I recommend to everyone who loves a long story with lots of battles, incredible characters, magic and awesome world-building.

I've also been pretty busy with my art projects so poor Red Dead Redemption can only be played at weekends (when I don't have tests or exams during the week, of course).

Haven't got much time to write any longer ;) Wish the best for you all, good week, comment back and tell me how you've been doing!

Hugs

First of all - I'm getting tired of GS contests. They're full of trolls saying they want to see "fanboys tears" and vote on the less appealing character just to piss everyone off. It bugs me. It's just stupid. It's not because you vote on characters that no one ever heard about that you are stopping fans from sleeping at night. If you vote for stupidness, you are, indeed, stupid.

Secondly – Just started school. I'm currently loaded with projects and exams. Being in an arts course isn't a piece of cake. It isn't just about studying the books. You have to think thoroughly about every single project and make it perfect to get the best grades. Although I'm also loaded with all the main subjects, it's the Drawing cla$$ that takes the most of my time. If I become less active here on GS you'll know why.

Thirdly – I want to say hello to all my lovely friends here on GS (it seems like ranting about trolls and school is more important than you people, doesn't it? :P Well it doesn't, you know that I love you all *hugs*)

I've also been having major doubts about my future career. Damn, when you live in Portugal and are attending an arts course at highschool you always have doubts about the future. Essentially because you can't choose specific subjects and therefore are limited to many arts-related cla$$es. We can choose between two "areas" in the arts department: Arts with Mathematics or Arts with history of the arts. People that love arts but still have doubts about a certain future or want to attend architecture always choose mathematics because it doesn't limit the number of universities you can go to. See, if you don't take mathematics it's impossible to go to a college and chose Economics, Management, Communication or another subject. You can only go to ARTS: Painting, sculpture or graphic design. Although they are beautiful jobs, it's not what I want with my life. I need mathematics. I want arts, computers, communication. In a perfect and beautiful future, maybe start a small videogame developing company and work as director. But well, to get there I'll have to work. Work a lot.

So, if you were courageous enough to read all of my rambling, I congratulate you and give you an extra hug. :P

Cheers!

Final Fantasy X HD Announced

TGS: Final Fantasy X HD Coming to PS3, Vita

Just in time to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

Square-Enix dropped a bombshell at today's Sony press conference at Tokyo Game Show. With the tenth anniversary of Final Fantasy X coming up, Square thought it would release an HD version of Final Fantasy X. Details are currently scarce, as the game is still in development. But Final Fantasy X HD will be coming to both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Read it here: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/119/1194253p1.html

That's it boys. Square finally started to remaster their most popular Final Fantasy games, at fans request. I'm looking forward to purchase this although I'll buy the title for the PS3 since I'm not even thinking of getting a Vita in the next following months or years. I've played FFX some years ago and I cried like a baby at the end but it's nowhere near my favorite titles (which are FF7, FF8 and FF9). I believe FFX launched the all-flash-no-substance trend in this new generation of Square's games. Come on, I admit I enjoyed playing FFXIII. It was a delight to play a game with wonderful graphics, a fairly good story and some upbeat music. I even enjoyed the battle system, but let's be fair: compared to previous FF titles, XIII was a joke.

And since I've been in a FF7 fan-mood this week (you've probably guessed it just by looking at my updaty thing at the top of the blog), I'll save the next paragraph for the usual ranting:

Although the opinions are divided, I still believe Square is up for a FF7 remake. The fans have been pleading for years and since they have all the development for AC, CC, BF and DoC, their path is pretty much clear by now. I just have the feeling that they're saving FF7 for something big. Perhaps a launching title for the PS4? I don't know, but Square knows how to play their game (no pun intended)and tease the fans until they burst of anticipation. I think they're up to something big.
They've remade all the games from I-VI and now they've jumped to X, leaving the three most beloved titles on the wait. Don't you have a hunch that they're saving them for something big? Because I do.

Tell me what you think.

Hugs,

~Mariana

Hello my friends! How are you all? :)

So today I wanted to do something different with my blog. Instead of filling you up with all the nonsense and crap of my everyday, (:P) I will make a question. I think I'm trying achieving a sort of debate, I guess. It's always nice to hear our virtual friends' opinions.

Last sunday anational talkshow here in Portugal debated about the alternate life$tyle of couples nowadays and how many people, mostly above their 40's, considered that a couple shouldn't live together without being married.

dasd

What's your opinion on this? Do you think it's right that couples live together without being married?

Cheers!
