Personally I think it's worth it. I used to own a 360. I recently sold it and bought one last month. It' something I don't regret at all. I repurchased some of the games that I had on 360. I also love the blu-ray. Here is a list of features that the PS3 has.

Reliability

Built in WiFi.

Built in card reader (80GB model) Can also buy external one if it doesn't have it

Ability to copy music from my computer over a network connection.

Ability to rip music direct from cd (from 96-320kbps)

Ability to choose audio output frequency

Ability to backup internal harddrive to external HDD

Ability to install another OS

Ability to change voice when using headset with mic.

Ability to download TV shows and transfer them to PSP

Ability to control PS3 over the internet using the PSP.

Ability to upgrade harddrive

Change Keyboard Type (country)

Change mouse from right hand to left hand as well as mouse speed

Web browser support

Limitied support for Canon and Espon printers

Folding @ Home. Connects PS3 to Standford University allowing PS3 owners to donate PS3 processing power for medical research (running simulations) to help find cures for diseaseses.

Free online gaming (with more improvements to come).

It has bluetooth. Which allows us to choose pretty much any bluetooth headset. Can even use blutooth keyboards such as Logitech Dinovo (which I use with both PC and PS3) and Dinovo mini. The PS3 remote also has bluetooth ability. No having to point at the system anymore.

We can buy accessories from other companies. For example, I can use the Logitech G25 racing wheel with shifter and clutch pedal with GT5 Prolouge. However you can't use it on 360 because of MS being greedy. Too bad For Forza fans. One of the reasons why I switched over to PS3.

The PS3 is slot loading system is a first for me. I like it very much. It gives it a more high tech feel to it.

Is 1cheapps3.com trustworthy? I'm asking this because it's being advertised on GS so I'm wondering. $34.99 for a refurbished PS3 sounds a little too good if you ask me.

Anyone know?

Coming on the forums and asking around was a very good move on your part. No one is going to sell you a 300+ game console for $34.99. Scammers like thes look for people who are looking to get something for nothing (or close to nothing). Their greed works in favor of the scammers. Many people would have jumped right into it without thinking things out. Also there is the possibility that these may be stolen as well. Just because you see these ads on GS or any other legitt company) doesn't mean anything. GS get there money for the ads. Last but not least ignore that guy that's telling you it's legit. Look at his post count. For all you know he might be working with them. Just remember nothing is free in this world.

I see MS continuing to support the 360 with games and features on live. No new consoles until they can be priced below $5oo. Sony taught everyone that a $600 dollar console does not sell well.cainetao11

I see MS cutting support to the 360 just like they did with the Xbox.

Get the PS3 first and enjoy it. Then when you get your HDTV it will be more exciting to be able to play in HD.

I wouldn't recommend a 40gb PS3 with all these games having to be installed on your HDD now.-Renegade

At least he canstill upgrade the harddrive to a larger size. That's one of the things I love about this system.

I purchased a ps3 during december and am already a 360 owner. The bluray was nice on my hdtv but do not need it especially because my computer does not have a bluray drive I felt it is useless. My 360 still stands and love it more than ever the RROD is what lead me to purchase a ps3 but at the end I still love my 360 RROD and all.

I am not a fan boy but owning two consoles was just too difficult and confusing and decided to keep my favorite console.

I think I am going to shovel a pile of manure into a box and hold it together with plastic clips and sell it to people like you for $400. I think I would call it the Crapbox 720. Complete with flashing red lights.

Today while I was on gamespot, I went to ff13 page.then i see the also on Xbox360 link and that when i got sad a bit because my whole life i played final fantasy on a playstation system and theres also the fact im kinda a Fan Boy. final fantasy series have always been one of my faviorte series of all time.see i know its gona be a good game. but ff13 was one of the many reasons i decided to get my ps3. and i know ff13 may be a ps3 exclusive but its not the same. and now that the 360 also have it its gives my ps3 just a bit less meaning. i really iam sad that the final fantasy series will never be exclusive on a sony system again.

P.s And yes i played ff1-2 on the nintendo and i know there have been ff(spin offs on other systems) but lets be real sony have had the very best of the games exclusive so thats why i i give them the most props .

Long Live sony & FFseries

Look on the bright side. At least you won't be waiting around for 3 weeks reading the instruction manual waiting for your 360 to come back from repairs. Also there is the possibility that you may have to swap discs on the 360?

[QUOTE="420Token420"][QUOTE="jquest123"]

Im thinking of buying the G25 or the Driving Force Pro/GT. I heard GT5P works for both of them but is that the only game? I dont wanna buy something $100+ that is only for use with 1 game. What game or games using the racing wheel function.

Any links on racing wheel compatibility?

Racing Wheels are a waste of money ..

You were a waste of your Mom's labour pain.

LOL!
