Hey guys! It's IslandBros15! Summer for me is going well, and it's fun!
What could make a summer better than it already is? With games of course! I have decided to break out my Gamecube games on my Wii, and I have decided to play a game that has a special place in my heart.....

Now I already beat this game, but as you can tell from the blog title, I'm gonna try to take on a challenge. I am going to attempt the Pit of 100 Trials. Now this is gonna be hard. I am currently making preparations, getting coins to purchase Ultra Shrooms and Jammin' Jellies to make Jelly Ultras for the ultimate challenge. I am also using Chet Rippo's services to balance out my stats. In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Chet Rippo is actually worthwhile to use since he's honest and he lets you pick what stats you want to increase/decrease. I decreased my massive max HP stat to increase my BP to put on the right badges for the task. I am also level grinding to increase my stats as well. It is monotonous, since every enemy gives out 1 star point, but it does work. I also have a strategy to be fully healed before going to Bonetail. I basically get 10 Star Points starting off, then I will most likely gain 1 SP from each enemy, so once I fight the 99th enemy and win, I will gain 100 SP, level up, and be completely healed to fight Bonetail. The only flaw to my strategy is if I come across Movers, which don't have enemies on their floors. Maybe I should gain more than 10. The reason I say 10 is because 10 floors contain items. Speaking of the Pit, the most floors I ever traversed was 80. Not bad, if I do say so myself.
Speaking of Pit of 100 Trials, beforeanyone asks, I already beat the Pit of 100 Trials in Super Paper Mario. At least the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. I still have to beat the Flopside Pit. Maybe I might do that. But do you wanna know what SUCKS about that one? You have to beat it not once, but TWICE. At least it's not like Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels, where you have to beat the game 8 consecutive times. Damn....that game was basically designed by Satan himself. I have said this many times, there's a good reason why that game was never released in the states. At least it isn't like Cat Mario. Oh god.....that game. I find that game to be merely trial and error, as you basically find out what you did wrong, then do it again. Thosedamn Japanese gamedesigners always making them hard games that love to punish and anger me. If you know me quite well, which none of you do, you'll know that I have a short temper, and games cause me to curse. It's like I'm in the living room with my Wii and playing a game and die a cheap death I just scream "F*************************!" You get the idea.
I also have a Pokemon story I want to share on my blog. I never wanted to share it because of how embarassing it was, but I actually shared it in the forums and with milesprower2k9.She is awesome for being able to hear the epic fail that you guys never got to hear before.
I was trying to complete the Unovadex and I was at Dragonspiral Tower. I got into a wild Pokemon battle and GUESS WHAT I FRICKIN' FOUND.

A MOTHERF*****' SHINY BEARTIC.
(probably gonna get modded for saying that)
What was my reaction to that? Well, watch this video, and skip to 0:38.
It was a double battle which was annoying. But I swear, I ALMOST used the Master Ball on it(mind you, this was before I caught Thunderus, and this was also the same day I found Kyurem.) I had my other opponent defeated and I ALMOST chose to throw that Master Ball. I was gonna weaken it with my new Dragonair(this was before Dragonite was added to the team and he was well known) and he killed it with a critical. I was REALLY PISSED. But at least I shared that with you all. At first I wasn't going to share it at all because I don't want that to be shared, then I shared it with some close people, then I decided to tell you all, so it doesn't haunt me. I wanted to get it off my chest.
I actually heard of a method to hatch Shiny Pokemon called the Masuda method, which got it's name because it was written by director Junichi Masuda. What you do is get a Pokemon from your region and a Pokemon from another region, put them in the daycare, and they will create an egg. There is a much higher chance that a shiny Pokemon will hatch.

For example, I were to breed a Quagsire and a Wooper that both came from America, it will most likely be a regular Wooper.

Heracross
If I were to get one of my own Heracross, for example, and get another one from another country, like Japan, there would be a higher chance that the new Heracross would be shiny. The odds are 1/1366 that the offspring will be shiny(1/2048 in Gen IV.)

The Masuda method does not work with foreign Pokemon from in game trades. If you were to breed one of Meister's Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl, it would not work, since the foreign Pokemon were generated in your country.
I have actually never tried the Masuda method, but I have a Carracosta from Japan that I will breed with something else. I also may breed my Heracross to get a shiny one to show off! I don't want to use it on my team because I don't like how Shiny Heracross looks. Pink is not a good color for him.
So that's it for today. Good bye!
