RE4 was no masterpiece.. It was a great game, thats for sure.. But a masterpiece should have most aspects of the game under control. It had great a gameplay and graphics but that's pretty much it.

The story was horrible, the dialogue still haunts my dreams, the puzzles where made for children and the game simply was not scary. The Ganados failed to scare you as the "smart" zombies which was a huge disappointment. In fact, Regerators were the only things that actually scared me, until 3 minutes later I found the item that can beat 'em.. Thank god they atleast limited your ammunition..

edit: As for this generation.. Nothing has exactly been that great so far.. I have played plenty o great games but none of them has blown me away. Perhaps COD4 because of the atmospshere alone, even if the multiplayer is grenade fest.

I can't post it or I could get banned. You seem to want that to happen as you keep trolling at me and trying to get me to post such stuff that could get me banned. I don't know why you're treating me this way.

Meta-Gnostic

I honestly just think its stupid that some people keep their hopes up because of some online petition that makes no sense whatsoever.

Can you really imagine Capcom saying:" Yes, we're bringing a Resident Evil to PSP, if 10,00 people (Which is a small part of the number that we expect it to sell) on the internet sign it. You know? The internet? The place where people lie and sign these petitions ten times and such?" ...On a press release none the less.

And as you can see, I have not been banned. I posted a link to a page that is about the petition. However, it is only a news article and I dont advertise the petition in anyway. You can do the same. Dont advertise it, just prove me wrong. And it's not in my nature to troll, I only want people to think more clearly, rather than believing that Resident Evil will come to the PSP because some petition and because one person claims that he got an email from Capcom.

[QUOTE="J-link"]Well I can understand why.. Advertising useless petitions is just so.. so.. Well, useless I suppose.Meta-Gnostic

Not all petitions have been useless, some have worked. Also Capcom publicly stated if it got 10,000 signatures they'd take action and the petition reached over 31,000. Mods I am only trying to answer a question & let someone know that gaming petitions in general can succeed. I am not advertising or posting anything in relation to showing any petition. If this post is against the rules feel free to delete it.

What proof do we have that Capcom actually said it? The petition makers word? 10,000 is such a small number that I consider such a statement ridiculous. It might as well be just a plot to make people sign this petition more.. So yes, I consider this to be useless advertising and I'm glad that Gamespot deletes such posts.

Dont get me wrong, RE would be great on PSP and there most likely will a RE game for it at some point. But it wont be because of some online petition, thats for sure..

Capcom stated it in a press release... I'm not going to risk posting a link but if someone wanted to find it they could easily by doing an internet search.

Good god, do you honestly think Capcom would say such a thing at a press release?! The entire gaming indusrty would laugh at them! Go find that press release then and dont make up excuses. After that, I'll shut up. But I have only heard about this:

In an e-mail sent to the petition creator, a Capcom representative made note that for real results to be seen, 10,000 signatures would be needed: "As we plan for future games the team will definitely consider the fans and specifically your petition. It does have impact. Keep me updated on the number of signatures. If you get over 10,000 that will draw significant attention."

To emulate hardware, the machine (PSP) has to be much more powerful than the machine (PS2)its trying to emulate. 333mhz simply just is not enough. Not to mention that the PS2 has Emotion Engine which even PS3 has trouble emulating. The PS2 two ports we have seen have been programmed and designed again just so that they can be played on the PSP.

Nope, no RE.. which is shame since RE4 controls would work great on the PSP.

I think RE1 was released on the Playstation store though.. Or was it Japan only?

That's a shame.. I suppose the new Mint Green one wont be any better then.. And that's the only one I would even consider importing.

Oh well, I think I'll just order two new faceplates to my old PSP.. A Chrome one and a white which I will paint dark red (With a glossy finish).

Something like this.. But with black original buttons..
