when sony says 10 years they mean they'll be supporting the ps3 for 10 years just as there doing with ps2 so the ps4 will come out around 2012.

Seeing it's a single digit from the previous update it could be more to do with the software running in the background instead of something we will actually see. It's not a big update.jimm895
