Some things dont change....

Apparently, Pakistani Islamists get ready to bash the Da Vinci Code.

Now, this is something people ought to know, the Prophet Isa, who is Jesus to muslims, is NOT the same Prophet as Christians see him.  Hell, muslims dont even believe in the resurrection, they put the Jesus bit in to say that we respect Christians as well.

"People of the book" are not good people according to Islam, theyre the exact opposite and need to become as one.  Its called a ploy by muslims which left wing liberals buy and is a gift for the far right to use to gain power.

Coin image omits 'In God We Trust'

Now I know in America people get picky about Christianity but I am sure eventually they will say to remove Crucifix's from Churches because its deemed 'offensive' to non-Christians.

Coin image omits 'In God We Trust'

By JESSAMY BROWNSTAR-TELEGRAM STAFF WRITER

A Keller school district parent said political correctness has run amok at her daughter's elementary school, where the principal chose to omit the words "In God We Trust" from an oversize coin depicted on the yearbook cover.

Janet Travis, principal of Liberty Elementary School in Colleyville, wanted to avoid offending students of different religions, a district spokesman said. Students were given stickers with the words that could be affixed to the book if they so chose.

Debi Ackerman of North Richland Hills said she is offended by the omission. It's yet another example of a politically correct culture that is removing Christian references from all public places, she said.

"I think it's really ridiculous," said Ackerman, whose daughter Tawni, 10, took the book home Thursday afternoon. "Now it has come to this. ... When is it going to end?"

She likened the situation to retailers that use "Happy Holidays" rather than "Merry Christmas" in their displays and advertising.

"First, we can't say 'Christmas' trees. It's 'holiday' trees. Then it's 'holiday' decorations," Ackerman said. "It just doesn't make any sense to me."

Officials chose an image of an enlarged nickel for the yearbook cover because this is Liberty Elementary's first year and because the nickel has a new design this year.

The nickel design features President Jefferson and the word Liberty in cursive, with the words "In God We Trust" along the right edge.

Keller administrators agreed with the decision, which Travis made in conjunction with a school parents group, district spokesman Jason Meyer said. District policy states, in part: "The District shall take no action respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech."

Principals must strive to remain neutral regarding religion, Meyer said.

"It's not always easy to make everybody happy when we are making decisions," he said. He said Travis was unavailable for comment Friday.

Michael Linz, a Dallas attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, said the district's move was appropriate, sensitive and constitutional.

"Sometimes administrators and schools are really caught trying to make appropriate decisions with respect to people's views. Someone is always going to complain," he said. "I think that the school administrators were drawing the appropriate line by trying not to offend others."

Many parents have said they like the $16 yearbook, which chronicles the school's inaugural year, said Tom Gardner of Colleyville, president of the Liberty PTA. Parents donated photos of events, he said.

Ackerman suggested that the school could have used a different symbol for liberty, such as the Liberty Bell or the Statue of Liberty, if it was concerned about giving offense. But Gardner said those symbols may not be acceptable to everyone, either.

"We are a public school," he said. "We sure do not want to step on anybody's toes. I don't think any harm was intended."

Pakistan: Islamic organisation funds activites through slavery

Yes, you heard it folks, Christian children and no doubt probably some poor young muslims as well are being used in domestic servitude or in the sex trade.  I wonder if they find out whether some organisations in Britain are getting anything out of this as well?

Reunited: boys saved from slavers

Marie Colvin, Lahore

A SENIOR member of an Islamic organisation linked to Al-Qaeda is funding his activities through the kidnapping of Christian children who are sold into slavery in Pakistan.

The Sunday Times has established that Gul Khan, a wealthy militant who uses the base of Jamaat-ud Daawa (JUD) near Lahore, is behind a cruel trade in boys aged six to 12.

They are abducted from remote Christian villages in the Punjab and fetch nearly £1,000 each from buyers who consign them to a life of misery in domestic servitude or in the sex trade.

Khan was exposed in a sting organised by American and Pakistani missionaries who decided to save 20 such boys and return them to their homes. Using a secret camera, they filmed him accepting $28,500 (£15,000) from a Pakistani missionary posing as a businessman who said he wanted to set up an operation in which the boys would beg for cash on the streets.

Khan was observed driving from the meeting with a knapsack full of cash to the JUD headquarters at Muridke, near Lahore.

The base was funded by Osama Bin Laden, the Al-Qaeda leader, in the late 1990s and the JUD’s assets were frozen last month by the US Treasury after it was designated a terrorist organisation.

The US State Department declared the JUD a front for another organisation, Lashkar-i-Toiba, a terrorist group banned in Pakistan which joined with Al-Qaeda in an attempt to assassinate President Pervez Musharraf in 2003.

Khan, who regularly stays at the JUD’s base, broke his promise to hand over the 20 boys on receipt of the cash and took the Pakistani missionary’s assistant hostage while he checked that the dollars were genuine.

The boys were eventually freed in a dishevelled and malnourished state after being locked in a room for five months during which they suffered frequent beatings.

Last week I accompanied six of the boys on journeys of up to 15 hours to their homes, where they were greeted with astonishment and jubilation by families who had given them up for dead.

The mother of Akash Aziz, who was kidnapped as he played with his friends after school, was so astonished that she could barely move or speak at first.

The undercover missionaries have demanded the prosecution of Khan and an investigation into his work for the JUD, which claims to have created a “pure Islamic environment” at Muridke.

Hafez Muhamed Sayeed, its leader, was accused of inciting riots in Pakistan this year with speeches denouncing western “depravity” after a Danish newspaper published cartoons of the prophet Muhammad.

Ireland: Asylum Seeker's Siege Ends

The only reason why I published this was simply because of the link with the situation in Brussels, Belgium as reported in the Brussels Journal.

Asylum Seekers' Siege Ends

Updated: 23:45, Saturday May 20, 2006

Irish police have removed hunger-striking Afghan asylum seekers who were occupying a Dublin cathedral.

After a seven-day stand-off, a number of youths among the protesters were taken into care while the men, who had threatened suicide, were arrested.

The move by Garda units brought an end to a crisis which had deepened when Church of Ireland negotiators pulled out of mediation attempts when a potential settlement was rejected by the authorities.

It is understood that the Irish justice minister Michael McDowell has struck no deal with the group.

At first 41 people occupied St Patrick's cathedral, but three were taken to hospital and not allowed back in the church.

They were demanding political asylum and claimed they would be tortured or killed if forced to return to their native country.

Ten of the group threatened at one stage to jump form a 20-metre high organ loft while others created nooses and said they would hang themselves.

Whilst in Australia, Bibles banned in Hospitals.

Freedom of religion my ass! (excuse my language) Is it just me or are our supposed "Western Values" turning out to be molding with Saudi Arabian values?  Oh please, if this is not a choice of secularism or islam threatening Christianity I don't know what else is.  The Holy Book being the Bible is the Holy Scripture of Christianity.

Bibles banned in hospitals by Kelvin Healey and Ian Haberfield

BIBLES have been banished from Victorian hospital bedsides and some schools because they may offend non-Christians.

Almost all Melbourne's major hospitals have withdrawn the Holy Book from rooms and several schools have refused to allow their students to be given free Bibles.

The Gideons International Australia, which distributes Bibles free to hospitals, schools and motels, blames political correctness.

"The reason most often given is that 'We are a multicultural organisation and we don't want to offend anyone'," Gideons' executive director Trevor Monson said.

"It is a terrible shame because we get lots of letters from people who say having a Bible by their hospital bed has been a great comfort to them during their darkened days."

The Catholic Church condemned the ban and labelled arguments that Bibles could offend non-Christians as "silly".

"To say that other faiths might be offended if a Bible is there is nonsense," Archdiocese of Melbourne auxiliary bishop Christopher Prowse said.

Hospitals including the Royal Melbourne, Royal Children's, Austin, The Alfred, Monash Medical Centre, Box Hill, Maroondah, Dandenong and Casey have all removed Bibles. Royal Melbourne spokesman Rod Jackson-Smith denied a ban, but said: "We don't (have Bibles in each room) any more.

"Because we have so many people from different religious backgrounds it is considered inappropriate.

"It is also an infection control measure."

The Gideons have offered to supply hospitals with hard cover Bibles that could be wiped to reduce infection fears.

At most hospitals Bibles are only available in a chapel or "multi-faith" room. The Austin has a copy in each ward.

Only St Vincent's, a Catholic hospital, confirmed it had New Testaments at every bedside.

Gideons also revealed several schools had refused free New Testaments for secondary students.

Da Vinci Code Protest? NOT IN MY NAME! Shame on the Vatican!

I would personally write down what I really think of the crap that the Da Vinci code has brought up, even back till 350AD where it all started but seriously, the following article is a travesty.  All I can say is that it does not bother me at all, I still have my Church, and its growing, I actually think the Church will grow in numbers providing such idiots put their hands down and sit at home.

The part that made me laugh was when they said that "will help their Christian brothers". The last time that I checked when you helped your so called "brothers" was by hurting them not only in India but in Pakistan.

Also, last but not least, SHAME on those who complain about a film, where are the Vatican complaints towards tortures, rapes and murders of Christians???  None, Coptic Christians are crying for our help and all we can do is moan about a little film?

This is a travesty.

'This Film Is An Insult'Updated: 15:19, Monday May 15, 2006

Islamic and Christian leaders have united to condemn the forthcoming Da Vinci Code film.

Protests have so far been low key but several Catholic groups have threatened to stage street demos and shut down cinemas.

One has called for followers to fast, even if it means they die.

Now powerful Islamic clerics have joined in, saying the film of Dan Brown's best seller is blasphemous as it spreads lies about Jesus Christ.

Both communities want the government to ban the film.

"The Holy Koran recognises Jesus as a prophet. What the book says is an insult to both Christians and Muslims," Maulana Mansoor Ali Khan, a leading Islamic cleric said.

"Muslims in India will help their Christian brothers protest this attack on our common religious belief."

The book suggests that Jesus had a child with Mary Magdalene, with the blood line continuing today in France.

The Vatican has asked Christians worldwide to boycott the film, whose worldwide release is imminent.

Christians form about 1% of Hindu-majority India's 1.3-billion population, while Muslims make up around 13%.

Le Pen convicted of inciting race hatred

I have to say even though the views of the far-right are just as extreme as the far-left, this is simply a gift for the far-right to make further gains.

This article is from the Scotsman Newspaper.

Le Pen convicted of inciting race hatred

By ETHAN MCNERN

FRANCE'S highest court yesterday convicted the far-right leader Jean-Marie Le Pen of inciting racial hatred for telling a newspaper in 2003 that Muslims would one day run France and strike fear into the hearts of the non-Muslim population.

The ruling by the Court of Cassation came just over two years after Le Pen was originally convicted in the same case. In February 2005, an appeals court confirmed the 2004 ruling against the president of the National Front party.

Le Pen was ordered to pay a 10,000 (£6,800) fine for his remarks in Le Monde and an additional 5,000 in damages and interest to the League of Human Rights, which had filed suit.

Le Pen's party blames Muslim immigrants for an array of social woes in France, which has western Europe's largest Muslim population. The National Front contends that Muslim immigrants are taking jobs from the French.

The National Front leader is looking to run in next year's presidential election.

In the 2003 interview Le Pen urged the French to beware of "the day in France when we have 25 million Muslims, not five million" - the estimated population of Muslims in France today - because "it is they who will command".
