Watching scrubs is one of my many hobbies, if you can call eating yogurts, letting your brain mush and the occassional *hur hur* a hobby. One of the main reasons i enjoy this show is that it mirrors my 'life' (a.k.a student life) perfectly.
While comedy is a central aspect, a moral is always employed, good writing comes with a coherent story, which is why family guy is regarded as 'just for cheap laughs' Scrubs incoporates humour into an engaging story, surrealism into stylised modern situatons and a light hearted tone to a drama.
House is another good example of this, the acting is phenomenal in both, however being able to relate to characters is key to empathy, and i would not like to empathise with a sadistic drug addict.
A tight budget, rowdy roomates, and lots of work don't mesh well, add in the occasional hangover and my life tends to degenerate into one big blur of panic. So while i lay down and type here, i can feel the oh-so famillar feeling of anxiety as i pray the 2500 word paper writes itself by tommorow...

So the day i gethalo 3...XBL goes and breaks.
Oh no wait, this is 'scheduled maintenance' that seems to have run overtime...Now XBL has gone really slow, despite it being after the 5.00 GMT deadline, now i havent played since 10.00 last night (from england) so it may have fixed itself, but please MS, if you're going to make a deadline, stick to it...And it's not just me, my friends have had the same problem...
Well, enough rants, I made 2 halo 3 maps, a D-day themed one on High ground that everyone and their dog has made, and a ring of fire type map on epitah. I know i've already mentioned this but i desperately need people to play with on them, My GT is JJpenguin, add me if you have halo and we'll exchange Forges, as it were

I recently watched Casino Royale and I asked myself, 'I wish I could play poker like that!' Now, at this point i felt like a right child of an unmarried couple because the realisation hit me like a drunk rhino that this was a MOVIE...
In a movie, the goodies always win because otherwise the audience doesn't get that warm fuzzy feeling inside and teenage boys have to fill the void some other way, so Bond gets the perfect hand when everyone else is all in? You know what, forget it, it's a great movie, and gabbing on about realism beats the point of a james bond movie somewhat, what i will gab on about is SHAMELESS unrealism
Now cummon, who has a defribulator in the car...seriously, what a complete 'tard:
1. If your heart's stopped, how can you possibly use a defribulator?
2. Why in a car?
3. What was vespa doing, why did she come exactly as he passed out?
4. How are we expected to take a french villan seriously? the tension mounts as we ask him to surrender!
Blah, blah, blah, shut up Jordan, Just watch casino royale...
oh yeah spoilers BTW

You may notice i've already written a review of halo 3. Despite the 9.5 I gave it, I soon realised that the gameplay was wearing thin, fast. So my opinions changed and i became one of those Jaded bunch who complains about repetition and hype and yadda yadda yadda.
Now, i'll hold up my hands here and say that my xbox was modded, so the halo i was playing is now about as useless as a
paraplegic footballer...Nevertheless, I countinued to bash Halo with all my soul.
Where did it all go wrong? well it turns out that i didn't listen to my own advice, I said how this was a fun game to play with friends, and about a week after writing it, i was bored shotless after having played nothing but lone wolves for god knows how long. I mean no offense meant to Bungie, but the gameplay here hasn't got a leg to stand on (that's 2 cripple references folks) I mean the game revolves around running for the best weapon, betting a few kills, dying, lather, rinse, repeat.
The above is repetitve, samey, and revolves around doing the same thing again and again (see what i did there) the monotony of it comes from the fact that you are playing with complete strangers.
Now, why might i be going on about a game i don't even like? well, i bought it again! What the fOMG?! You see, my friend came over and we sat playing custom games all night long. And then it all clicked! Halo has added tools that redefine the genre, and I have just spent the last couple of hours fine tuning a D-day themed map (High ground, unoriginal but hey...) and a sumo ring (Epitah I think) now if only XBL wasn't being a female dog I'd be all set.
So it turns out i was right in the end, so i can keep my review as it is and write my first blog in the process...enjoy!
