I will finally soon get my own PC. My grandpa is buying it for me for when I go to college. I customized it and will assemble it when the parts are shipped to my house from newegg.com. Don't worry, it's going to be a decent gaming rig and I plan on upgrading it to a Directx10 graphics card as soon as they come out. I also plan on getting one of those quad processors when AMD comes out with them and I'll get a bigger hard drive when I run out of hard drive space, maybe I'll add another stick of RAM or two before I upgrade the motherboard. Here's the specs:
Antec 500W SLI ATX 12V Power Supply
ATI Radeon X850XT 256MB
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Socket AM2
1GB 240-Pin DDR2 800Mhz SDRAM
Seagate 160GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
NEC 16x DVD+R (RW) DVD Burner
Viewsonic 17" 8ms LCD Moniter
Gigabyte Socket AM2 SLI ATX Motherboard

RTS Fun
by JLCrogue on Comments
I felt like buying a few PC games, so I bought the Command and Conquer Generals, Dawn of War, and Battlefield 1942 packs (included expansions). I've also had an impulsive desire to play RTS games in order to satisfy my inner dictator. The first thing I did was install Generals, because I'm a fan of Command and Conquer. I must say that it's a pretty fun game, but not as nearly as good as Red Alert 2. Later, I installed and played Dawn of War and the Winter Assault expansion. BTW, it's an RTS based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe, which I've recently became a fan of, because of this awesome game. Dawn of War is pwnerific and much better than Command and Conquer Generals! If you look at my Xfire profile you'll notice that I've played it atleast 10 hours in the past few days so far and I'm loving it. As a matter of fact I'm just going to have to play it again today. :)
I've also bought Prey for the Xbox 360, but I'm only a few missions through the single player. I'm thinking of either renting or buying Chromehounds and Lord of The Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 for the Xbox 360. Any suggestions?

I recently went to my local Gamecrazy and saw a Super Nintendo on sale for $30. They rarely have any, because they're sold immediately, so I bought it and 9 games with it, because they also had a sale on old games. After gleefully taking my SNES home with me and playing on it I later felt the urge to pull out my NES from the closet and out of it's dusty box to play. I've been having a lot of fun on my old school gaming platforms and I really want to buy some more old school systems and games in the future!
The games I bought and played on the SNES are:
F-Zero
Gradius III
Mechwarrior
Ms Pac-Man
Paperboy 2
Pitfall: The Mayan Advanture
Super Empire Strikes Back
Super Mario World
Starfox

Cal Poly

If you haven't noticed by now I have deleted all of my previous blog entries. Anyway, I wanted to tell you all that I'm going to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo this fall, in September 2006, and I can't wait! I'll be majoring in Computer Engineering, because I'm a computer geek, w00t!!
Recently, I've been playing Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, and a bunch of my Xbox 360 games. Oh, and I'm sooo excited about so many awesome Xbox 360 games coming out soon, such as: Chromehounds, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Gears of War, etc.
