I was given a ps3 a few weeks ago, it came with no controller, so Being stupid I only had enough money this month to buy a cheap 3rd party wired one. It works while navigating the ps3 dashboard but I noticed my cousin who gave it to me still had socom 4 beta on there. I thought okay Ill try it, it prompted me to sign in but couldnt since psn is down and then it says cannot detec wireless controller. Im confused, it works on the ps3 dashboard but not there? am I missing something?

this sucks, mine is a wired one, usb one and to have it not work isnt right :(

I recently was given a PS3 with games BUT no controller. At the moment I cant afford a wireless official sony one until the end of the month so I bought a new third party made wired PS3 controller from EBAY dirt cheap. I just need something to last me until the end of the month where I can get a official controller. The one I bought was a TOMEE PS3 wired controller. After buying it I been hearing things about it, can anyone tell me if it will work with games i have bc2, medal of honor?

I got a PS3 yesterday and tonight I have a gamer friend who had medal of honor limited edition with BF3 beta access, COD4, Battlefield Bad company 2 ultimate edtion and mafia 2 all brand new he is going to sell me for a insane low price. All in shrink wrap and everything. Are those good games to start out with? Also anyone know when PS3 will be back up online?

believe it or not I actually played mag at a cousins house when I was on vacation. it was hard for me to learn but fun.

never played MGS series BUT I always here they are legendary. Even Mythic in style. I always been a xbox guy. But I want to give this PS3 a go. I dont think Ill enter my credit numbers anytime soon, but I will buy PSN network cards for stuff on there. Someone told me PS plus has good things going on for a price.

Well I was given a slim 160gig model PS3. I stil need to get a controller for it. I have questions, one is I want to buy a game for it, how about BRINK? I thought about also pre-ordering BF3 as well as buying a wired controller when PSN gets back up. ANyone recommend a good place to buy from besides gamestop? Also a concern of mine is will this leak hurt PS3? Having info stolen and what not? I hate to invest into a system only to have it fail due to such bad happenings cause by scum bags. Overall Im pretty happy about getting it. I always wanted to play God of war 3. Never owned a sony console before.

So who is getting BF3 for the xbox 360 and why? Why on the 360 instead of PS3 or PC?

For me, Im getting it on 360 over my PS3 for the friends and community I have online. As for getting BF3 itslef, Im getting it over the new COD this year. Nothing against COD but BC2 has spoiled me. So Im looking forward to jets, 24 player battles,as well as the expansion back to Karkand. I use to be a PC player back in the day, playing BF2 PC all day.
