enemyterritory.com is a good place to start.
Quake wars is a battlefield like game with medics, support classes and so forth. In the console version on both consoles you have party systems so now you and your buddies can play and stick together. it also has air, land and sea vehicles.

As soon as we have a solid date for the demo, we'll announce it here on the Community Site."

This is a Multiplayer faq. Frontlines is a near future vehicle and infantry based FPS that is coming to the xbox 360 and PC. Below are a few questions with answers to help you better understand. To read more about the story behind frontlines campaign, go to http://www.frontlineswar.com/ or http://www.planetfrontlines.com/
Who is making the game? KAOS studios
I never heard of KAOS studios before what have they done in the past?
Formerly known as trauma, Well they were responsible for the famous and most downloaded mod, Desert Combat for the Battlefield 1942 on the PC and they did some work with battlefield 2 for the PC

Will it have voice communication?
Yes, but only if you're in a squad. GM of kaos Delisef said there looking to update it when the full version comes out. Here is what Delisef said
"Yes you have to be in a squad to use the open mic feature. When matches are this big, it got way to cluttered with talking and most of the time useless information that didnt help teamwork and bandwidth.
We want to have more options like squad leader to squad leader and proximity chat. We are looking into that for a title update."
How many vehicles and weapons will be in the game?
Over 60 vehicles and weapons for the game.
W
what is a role system for?
Role systems are perks basically, raning from counter measures (ability to disable vehicles), airstrike (ability to drop from single bomb to cluster/carpet bombs to fuel bombs to gunnery air vehicle) Ground support (ability to repiar vehicles and set up gun turrets) Dron technician role "Ability to use and control drones for warefare.)

What unique features sets this apart from other FPS?
Well you have the frontlines system which is (example) Before you move the frontlines, you'll have to take the two objectives on your map hud, once taken the frontlines moves up BUT the opposing team can recapture them and move the frontlines back. It will also feature a squad system, with 4 players to each squad to promote team work. here is a video of the squad system. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/29350.html
How big are the maps?
They range from small infantry sized to 4 square miles in size.
I played the single player demo and didnt like it, what makes the multiplayer demo different?
Well for one the multiplayer demo has went through changed ranging from graphics, to controls ect. here is what Kaoscommunity (community manager) had to say:
We at Kaos Studios are very interested in your feedback on our single-player demo for the Xbox 360. The community is very important to us and we make an effort to pay attention to what you have to say so we can make this the best game possible.
Frontlines is scheduled to be released in 2008 and we wanted to take a moment to address some of your concerns.
Controls - We're taking the feedback on the control issues seriously and have made several changes: the C4 drone controls have been improved and we've looked at the "dead zone" in the sensitivity. You should see a big improvement in the controls when we release the multiplayer demo next month.
Graphics - We've been optimizing the graphics and there is a dramatic increase in the framerate. The quality of the graphics also have been brought up to par with other "open world" shooters.
Popping - The popping has been reduced but there may still be some in the final game due to the size of the world.
Glitches - The minor clipping issues in the demo have been resolved.
AI - There were some bugs with the AI in the demo, which have been resolved.
Pace of the game - A bigger world will make it feel like the pace of the game is slower but this is also probably related to the control and character speed issues that we are working on.
Again, your feedback is very important to us! Please visit our community forums at the link below and let us know what you think of Frontlines: Fuel of War as we release more betas and demos. Thank you!"
What other communties are out there for frontlines?
Well there is http://www.planetfrontlines.com/http://www.frontlineswar.com/ among others and community.kaosstudios.com the offical community of frontlines.
when will the multiplayer demo be out?
Early february
Is there Splits screen?
No
Will there be LAN?
I believe so.
Will this game cost me anything to play on the 32 man servers?
No, it is free and is hosted by THQ and their servers.
