oh that totally make sense, because hanging around a bunch of homosexuals can turn you homosexual totally *sarcasm*, weird how i see a lot constantly, yet im still 100% straight !, being homosexual is not a fad

Exactly. There's lots of gay guys in my neighborhood. A LOT. Yet I'm still completely hetero, and have the strong urge to poke females every single day. Being around gay dudes hasn't turned me gay even in the slightest of ways. JabbaDaHutt30 is clearly just trolling. I think he knows better, but just wants to kick up dust.

The first thing you need to know is that persons can be affected differently by some environmental causes. I speculate that sexual orientation manifests itself from a very early age.

How do you think homosexuality is caused?

It appears that there can be some negative environmental causes that take effect on the mind due to prolonged exposure to the internet.

[QUOTE="Jemdude"]There is no scientific evidence that homosexuality is genetic. I know that there are people with homosexual urges who didn't necessarily choose to be in this situation, but that still doesn't mean that it's okay to engage in them.-Jiggles-

The only other possible way is an environmental cause.

[QUOTE="JabbaDaHutt30"]Yeah, I guess I don't have any evidence to prove you otherwise. That means you're right.super_mario_128
No, it just means you're making un-backed-up claims for the sake of attention. Congratulations on succeeding.

Nice talking to you, too.

[QUOTE="JabbaDaHutt30"][QUOTE="Euroshinobi"]it all depends on genes, like me for example, sometimes i do things my dad does, with out actualy knowing it, and then i look at him and notice he does it, and i go "So thats who i got that from", basicaly homosexuals get the genes more from their mothers, which explains the being attracted to men, its nothing wrong with them by no means, its just genetics, thats allEuroshinobi
That's the most absurd thing I've heard all day. Habit doesn't have anything to do with genes.

oh jeebus, everything is heirtary, bad habits, good habits, drinking, smoking you name it, god didnt you learn this in school ?, homosexuals dont chose to be gay did you chose to be straight ? no, dont give me none of that, its normal crap no its not normal, you were born the way you were born simply because you have more of your fathers genes, please study up some more on the subject

My only frustration with your point of view is that I see similarly-constructed arguments in real life quite often.

[QUOTE="nirvana563"] You were probably moderated for the 'ALL CAPS' posts you made earlier. [QUOTE="JabbaDaHutt30"] This; it amazes me that people are arrogant enough to tell me that I "chose" to be gay I really, really, didn't...super_mario_128
Still, that doesn't necessarily mean that one is born homosexual.

I beg to differ. *Puts on Miles Edgeworth mask. Makes hands-outright gesture* Unless you have some evidence that prove otherwise!

Yeah, I guess I don't have any evidence to prove you otherwise. That means you're right.

[QUOTE="super_mario_128"]Ok: I'm gay and I certainly didn't choose to be. Proof enough for me, whether it be some genetic **** up at birth or whether there is a gay gene.xaos

[QUOTE="GabuEx"]

[QUOTE="xaos"]If death doesn't frighten you, you either don't understand it or have an unusual amount of faith in some sort of existence beyond death.xaos

Or you've thought about it enough to come to the conclusion that I outlined in my initial post. When you know that something bad either has happened or will happen, you always go through the five stages of grief; I don't see why it would be impossible to reach the fifth before you die.

That's not to say I would be perfectly okay with being dead - I have things I'd like to do and loved ones I care about - but that's a fear of having an unfinished life and of causing grief, not of death itself.

I think it can be accepted and dealt with, but I don't see that eliminating a fairly primal fear at still facing that moment; ultimately, however inevitable and however much you've tried to come to terms with it, you are irrevocably going into an unknown state. It may just be a failure of imagination on my part, but I can't see someone dying and being altogether unafraid of it.

I can. The process of dying happens so fast that someone doesn't even have time to be afraid. Otherwise, I would agree.

Why am I afraid of dying? Because I won't live any longer, that's why! I don't care about any "loved ones" or an afterlife; I just want to live.
