I'd like to know if there is a solution to this as well, I also have a x58 motherboard and am about to run gtx 470 sli

What brand is it? I should be enough, regardless of brand. I know a Corsair tx 750 psu is capable of running two 470's in SLI with an overclocked 920.jtcraft
Its made by Corsair
Ok, will do guys thanks for clearing it up for me. Last question, will a 850W power supply be sufficient to run 470 in sli? My friend who assembled my comp said its more than enough but I just wanted to double check.
Whats the difference between DDR5 and GDDR5 between graphics cards?
I see 2 gtx 470 made by galaxy and one is $10 cheaper than the other. Will either of them work with my evga gtx 470?

[QUOTE="Jacen22"]Unless you're playing at high resolutions above 1920 x 1200 it isn't really worth it. Scaling decreases when adding a 3rd card and power requirements are way up there so you will need a 1000w psu or better with the appropriate connectors. Unless you are water cooling three of those cards will put out a whole lot of heat and noise. Is there a major benefit ontop of sli if I go tri-sli? I have an asus sabertooth x58 motherboard can I do it with 3 gtx 470?
Is it worth it?

Ok, thanks, I'll just stick with 2. I have 3 medium size case fans and two large fans on the top and side. Would tha be enough cooling for 470 in sli?
My single card goes up to 82 degrees in temp when running witcher 2 on high.

My most anticipated games are Saints Row III, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, and Mass Effect 3. But out of these games Saints Row takes the prize and I am literally just counting down the minutes to its release.
I came across this video preview and thought other Saonts Row fans would like it. Enjoy.

TEBOW, TEBOW, TEBOW!!! So glad I benched Rivers on 3 of my teams and started Tebow on all of them. And 2 of those teams also had DeMarco Murray in for Hillis and Burressssss for Welker!!! 8)
Went for 9-0 second time this season, at this rate 7 of them look really good in making the playoffs and the other two still have winning records.

EDIT: I found one new finally on ebay, but the bidding ends in 6 days and who knows what the price will be. If anyone knows of another site I can purchase it....would be my hero.

GTX 470 new....not worth it, even if you're going to run SLI. Any new ones I came across were $250+. If I can't find any on sites like you listed off, then I turn to shopzilla.com; basically a search engine for products. It listed off a good handful of ones that are refurbished/used that are running $180 and down. Any new listed was way to spendy for the card.
Do you need the same company that made the video card in order to run SLI or can it be any manufactured gtx 470? I thought it was had to be the same manufacturer.
