I am building a PC on a budget. I will be playing games like Battlefield 2, Oblivion, World of Warcraft, Steam games like CS:S, left 4 dead2 and Day of Defeat.

For motherboard, video card and power supply options i can get sli/crossfire enabled for using 2 video cards. However i will only be using 1 video card. I think in the future i will just buy a whole nother video card as opposed to getting a second one.

For the type of gaming i will be doing will i really need SLI? To be honest i will not be buying many new games..with the exception of like Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Fable 3.

Hello all, im not too tech savvy and i was wondering if there was any desktops i could purchase online that are already made. I am looking for a good video card with 1gb of memory, at least 2.8ghz of CPU and 4gigs of Ram, and at least a 600w power supply.

I know building your own is the cheapest route but i just dont have the time nor knowledge, if anyone could link me to something similar to what i described i will be very very grateful!

Why don't you take the plung and build your own? For one you learn something while researching the parts, for 2 you know what YOU want not what OTHER people want/have "available". In almost all cases you SAVE money by building it yourself, trust me it isn't hard at all! It is in fact much simpler than in the past where you would have to manually set jumpers

Alkpaz

Honestly i would but im kind of a noob at this. How do i know if certain parts are compatible with other parts? like how do i know a certain motherboard will work with this or that RAM or video card?
