You want to make a comment about Sony and Microsoft recycled games, but Nintendo has recycled Mario more than any video games character in history. SERIOUSLY. @risingdawn: Why are you putting Microsoft and SEGA in the same sentence? They are listening to the consumers, the Xbox consumers not Playstation /Sony. That's why there's backwards compatibility for 360 and now original Xbox on the XBX-1/S/X (for free), a 4K UHD Blu-Ray player ..etc... Remember, Microsoft is one of the largest and richest company in the world. They can pour money for a very long time.....

CupHead and Sea of Thieves and minecraft isn't forza or Halo. The most games that do the most sale are multi-platform games. That's a FACT. New ips are great, no doubt. I applaud Sony and Nintendo for doing that, however it's only on their system. Microsoft has a game on just about everything with a button, if they keep going in that direction, it's just going to be a matter of time before they really dominate.

I still love to play some of my Xbox360 games, especially on the Xbox One S for free. Thanks to BC. I no longer need my X360 system I've sold it and used that money to buy games for the XBX1-S.

@Dacendarin: Why all the hate for Phil Spencer? Why hate at all? This is about a video game being cross platform playable. It seems you're talking this a bit PERSONAL. Everybody has a right to his or her opinion, however you need to take it down a notch. In the future, almost all games will be cross-play, just like current PCs are. It doesn't matter what type of pc you have, you can play the same game together on the network/internet. Consoles are going the same route.

Now as far as OPTIMIZING said game for consoles. It's far easier to optimize a game for a Xbox1/S/X than the PS4/Pro. Mainly because the software (code) was already written and design on PCs to begin with. Almost all games are designed using ..... MICROSOFT WINDOWS Products! So, do you understand why it's easier to optimize and port games to the XBOX/1/S/X? If not , then let someone else here explain it.

As far as XBLive goes, you don't have to sign in through it from Nintendo's console for crossplay to work. Look at Minecraft. You don't have to have an XBLive account on your android, pc, Switch, etc.. So that point is null and void.

@sgtsaltnpepper: There are over 7 billion people on the planet. To even think there aren't new customers is ludicrous. In America (USA) alone there are around 420 million people, and you think everyone has purchased a xbox product world wide ? Seriously.... There are some people that will upgrade. Others that have a PS4 not pro will probably get a Scorpio... etc ...etc... The reasons why people get things will vary, however they will get one or not . It's their choice. For you to say " It's​ not new customers", is crazy and doesn't make sense.

You must also remember, this is Microsoft not Sony. Micro$oft pockets are very very very..... DEEP.

@Barighm: You can stick any old (Xbox360) game that's on BC listing . Also you only need to be online just to get the BC download. After that you can disconnect and play completely offline.
