@Seventk "I hope they don't change it and keep the ending(s) the way they are. They would make sense to people if they would pay attention to the story and dialog of all 3 games. It is a mind f' but so what." The problem is it makes no sense to people who actually paid attention to the story and dialog in all 3 games. The game (not just the ending) is so full of contradictions and seemingly devoid of logic. Some even contradicted by events within the game... Why are certain conflicts inevitable? Especially when the Geth was the defender and the Quarians the offender? Or Joker and his "friend"? Why is it you want to stop A from killing B but instead you make a whole bunch of As just to kill Bs? Etc. etc.
The Demo is pretty fun. Hate the graphic style but the game-play is entertaining. Hopefully the full version is less linear. Already pre-ordered on steam, I guess I'll find out soon enough.
The problem is faith or any deep discussion of it requires the ability to reason and maintain coherent thought. Games' primary purpose is entertainment, it is not an medium into which one delves to seek enlightenment. Games need to be foremost entertaining, in this day and age it means immediately gratifying and requires no post-immediate thoughtfulness. Just look at the RPGs of years past vs the modern RPGs.
If one need to have spoken words for humanity, then books should just be incinerated - because the inhumanity of it all. The lack of imagination and ability to think beyond immediate stimulus is what why some people love DA2 and some hate it. For all its "storyline unfold with choices" it actually doesn't. all the major plot points are locked in place. All you do is make slight variations, but the end you pretty much just get 2 choices. Though I don't have the link, I remember DA2 first came out, some review site broke down its actual lines spoken, lines of dialogue and such. DA2 have only about 1/2 to 2/3rd of what was in DA:O. Not sure where some of you get the idea that DA2 has more content than DA:O.
